  • The final video in my 5 part Oregon series brings me just outside of Portland where I visit the AirplaneHome. Nestled in the woods is a retired Boeing 727-200 which is the project of Bruce Campbell. Bruce has relocated this jetliner and converted it into his home. He brings us inside for a tour and tells us about how he came to live in the airplane as well as his current project the AirplaneHome v2.0. He even lets us hang out on the wing of the jet.
This is one of my coolest adventures yet! Do come along!!!
Special thank you to Bruce Campbell, please visit his website:

You know me, I get that VIP access where ever I go. 😁 All kidding aside, it was one of those things that I somehow stumbled upon and really lucked out that I was able to have a look around the property and the inside! It was pretty amazing, I loved walking out the exit on to the wing. It was totally surreal!

5:30 I don’t know if telling the flight attendant that “you’ve done it” would be a good idea 😂

"i'm just hangin' out in the emergency exit.... " HA! yeah, have seen a bit about his journey, but didn't know he had a website.... guess what i'm delving into next..... " :) super cool. wondering though why all the landing gear is not down and the front supported by..... bricks??

@Peter Harris, I so glad you enjoyed it. It was super cool and Bruce was a great guy!!! Good eye on the front landing gear. What it was, he had just poured a permanent concrete footing to rest the front gear on. It was still curing when I had visited, so he had the front of the plane propped up above it. Also why everything was kind of moved to the back of the plane on the inside. Great catch!!!! 😁

How could the plane move to that place? Sorry, i not hear clear that the point.

He had to remove the wings and lower the landing gears to load it on a special truck. They then drove it to the property and reattached them. Thanks for watching!!!
