Just a perfect time for me to comment on this my buddy who films The Murder Mystery Dinner Train in Fort Myers he noticed one of the new railroad crossing County over gates going down so fast and I noticed it too but what could have caused the new railroad crossing cantilever gate to drop down fast
Could be burnt up contact points on a MCR, snub resistor is bad, internal dynamic braking mechanism went bad, had this exact problem a few months back, had to replace the WC3590 motor

And I just noticed one of the main crossing lights when that gate had the hold clear device fail that main light was about to fall off
is the crossing still and always still be remote activated? also nice job on the crossing fixing it!
the hold clear device is messed up because the s-40s coil is burned and gets really bad so you fixed it rs&s!

Can you show a wiring diagram to make a gate crossing work. Nobody can seem to explain it.
I cannot show complete schematics as they are classified material.
I put up a safetran and griswold crossing gates and there are no schematics. @RailroadSignsandSignals

Bad limiting resistor or a gate that wasn’t counterweighted properly would cause a fast dropping gate.

A coil burnt out on the gate mechanism. So no its not stuck

Safetran is bad because alot of there stuff just stops working over 7 years
Most of manufacturers they have things going bad so they can continue selling that's how everything goes in our world unfortunately.
