Hey Jared, the wurkkos ts10 is equipped with andruil 2 software which is arguably the most customizable and versatile ui in any flashlight on the market. They ship in a simpler mode but they have a more advanced mode and they also have a “muggle” mode that reduces the brightness so it is safer for family or non enthusiasts to use.
Also it doesn’t run on AA. It runs on rechargeable 14500’s which are like a smaller 18650 battery.
THANK YOU!!! As someone who is a big time fan of Jared and also happens to currently own 14 TS10’s and dozens of other EDC/rechargeable flashlights, this segment hurt me pretty bad… Please do NOT put a standard AA in this light! Also, +1 for anduril 2 superior customization.

@@twidgy42what would happen if all you had on hand was a regularAA Duracell or what it may be??? I’ve about had it with anything that has a non removable rechargeable battery. They make it to the warranty date + 10 days.if you are lucky. The ones Iv gotten anyway. Throw away mess. I like stuff that lasts.& definitely don’t want to zap a nice light with the wrong battery. Thanks.
@@wbwills2it just wouldn’t work. The 14500 battery that it comes with is a 3.7 volt battery (lithium ion cell that will actually charge to 4.2 volts) a standard AA cell (Duracell ,energizer ,etc) are 1.5ish volts so it won’t supply the power it needs to work. The light is a great light. I own 5 of them in different metals. The aluminum versions did sell for 12-17 dollars on Amazon and the brass , copper , titanium and combo (titanium/copper) were in the 30ish dollar range .
Yes! Also it doesn’t have a charging port on the body so you have to supply your own battery charger.
That cover for the lens is a wand for directing traffic and a lamp defuser
Wish more companies would make their thumbstuds removable. So many blades that are infuriating to sharpen would be much more convenient if you could remove the thumbstuds

Artisan has some banger designs out or coming soon. That QSP is DC53 just Chinese analog, 61 HRC. It can be treated to 64HRC.
Man i hope artisan makes a full titanium version of that knife great video man 👍

The Artisan knife reminds me of Giantmouse but half ass done. There is a lot of room for improvement on that knife. Could be something special if they would put some jimping up top and smooth those edges on top of the blade. If they would mill the pocket clip and backspacer too people would be going goo goo gah gah over it.
Kizer has something similar to the nightshade annnd it's a top liner lock. It's a little bigger too like an xl would be

From what I've read it seems like DC-53 can have higher hardness and edge retention than D2

If that Artisan was made by Bestech, I'd be all over it....Artisans just feel cheap...it even sounds cheap when you are flipping it in the video...

Another good video. Keep it up dude. Getting 1st ever crossbar lock knife soon & it’ll be one that you like or suggest. You obviously know & love some knives!!I particularly like that “tink”noise that the ones make,with the aluminum,titanium (some sort of metal scales),bet it has a nice feel to it also. Try & stay cool in this heat!!Can totally understand stuff warping in containers in transit. With the high temperatures lately ,It’s a wonder some of the materials aren’t melting & cracking ext.damit man!plenty of H2O!!!peace.
That Artisan Prime would be such an awesome knife... _if it weren't a god awful frame-lock with that terrible milled Ti clip_ . Put a cross-bar lock or a plunge lock on it (and a front-flipper while they're at it) and make the scales ALL micarta and it'd be a winner. I love the lines/blade shape but frame locks/Milled Ti clips are things that make me pass on a knife instantly.
hey jared! i have a question about the cavol mantis as you seem to be the only person on youtube (for now) that seems to have one! when you hold it in the pikal grip, it looks like the flippertab is poking into the bottom part of your palm! doesn't that bother you? I have smaller hands than you (glove size M) so maybe it won't be as bad for me as it is with your hands but still, this kinda worries me and is the only thing that's keeping me from getting one of those!
PS. Pointed a few dudes your way that were interested in some of that good quality pink liquid stuff for strauping (sp?)& smoothing out the washers and other stuff inside some knives. Takem easy.

Some great knives and a nice little light. For self defense a folder is ok if it's all you have, but a fixed blade version of the Cavol would be much better (one less step to deploy, faster, and no worries if you have a good lock up in the blade) and like anything else Get some proper training if you plan on using anything you have for self defense. Thanks for the great vid and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable.
The same thing can be said about a Fixed Blade knife honestly. Why carry a knife when you can carry a gun and be much much safer. Much faster and doesn't require you to get close and allows you to create separation.
Any self defense tool is better than no tool.

You are not removing your burr properly is most likely the issue, first make sure you are creating a burr on both sides from heel to tip with your scratch pattern going from top of bel down to apex, if you have acquired a proper burr on both sides use a finer stones like a ceramic to remove the burr

I got an Artisan Boa and that was probably the most disappointing knife I've purchased in years. Not smooth in the slightest so sadly I sold it.
They call this Kansept button lock a liner lock on their website I was thinking maybe they did some type of compression lock but that doesn't look like it's the case. Am I correct (thanks in advance)?

If his model made by reate is $300, a us made version would be at least $600. Also good luck finding a USA OEM willing to do smaller orders.
