It’s actually not Alicent’s fault her kids are the way they are and it’s not fair to blame her, it’s just a misconception by people who don’t realize or have forgotten the truth. It’s actually Viserys’s fault Aemond and Aegon are the way they are. Alicent was a teen bride who wasn’t ready to be a mom and Viserys was so broken over his wife that he really only loved Rhaenyra (who reminded him of his wife and her mother). She was his favorite and he also had major health issues later on in life so he basically ignored and didn’t raise his kids with Alicent. Aegon and Aemond act the way they do because they grew up without a father basically
@@Sold1er_Boy Velaryon and Old Valyrian blood. There is no definite proof that Corlys has Targaryen blood, though it is possible. There is certainly Velaryon blood in House Targaryen.
Alicent wasn't exactly knee-deep in screaming children and dirty diapers. She was the Queen of Westeros, she would have had multiple servants and nursemaids for both herself and her children. I just think that for possibly many reasons (married too young to a man who was her best friend's father, her own mother dead and apparently no older female relatives willing to personally advise her) , Alicent was not cut out to be an effective mother. That doesn't mean she didn't love her children, I think she does love them; she just has trouble showing it. (in contrast, Rhaenyra spoiled her sons, but always showed them that she loved them)
with all do respect( i mean it) you need to stop and think when you react and say things. you many times get to the wrong conclusions because you speak before thinking. the best example that you and many others mistakenly do, is to say that daemon wife needs him by her side at dragonstone, but the plan has always been to raise an army in harrenhal, if he leaves without that army then everything is in vain! this is one of many conclusions you don't arrive to because you let your emotions cloud your thinking! if the last few episodes, specially this one, have shown us is that daemon is the most important weapon for team black, if rhaenyra can't put her own childish attitude, just like daemon, aside then she will lose. daemon is the most important character in this show...there's a reason why GRRM says daemon is his favorite targaryan, and its because he is the 2 faces of the coin, he can be loving to is family, but he can also be a monster, he is for all purposes the definition of a targaryan. one thing the books say and that the show tries to show us(even tho not always done right) is that he loves his family, he just needs to understand his mistakes and grief his brother...when he does that, he will be the loving husband rhaenyra wants, and the weapon she needs. but rhaenyra also needs to learn, she is not perfect, she needs to admit she needs him and she is nothing without him...only then can they be in the same page! she say's it at the end of the show, they are broken apart but together they complete each other. they both need that!

Hugging Viserys as he grieved was the soulful redemption Daemon needed. He finally understands his brother's pain and it was so beautiful to see!
Finally Daemon it looks like in the next two episodes is coming in for the rescue with his army of rivermen and caraxes.
