- India reported 4,12,262 fresh cases of coronavirus infections and nearly 4000 deaths in last 24 hours. This is the highest ever single day surge of COVID-19 cases in the world. As India's total tally of covid cases reached 2,10,77,410 on Thursday, the death toll remains at 2,30,168. Experts suggest that this data of Covid fatalities in India which is released by the Health Ministry everyday is "underreported, misleading and screwed". Mojo Story in its relentless, non-stop coverage of the Covid crisis travelled to several states to know the ground reality of the health crisis in India. We visited hospitals, crematoriums, burial grounds, Mortuary of several hospitals and reaches to even some of the houses who lost their family member in this coronavirus pandemic. As we cover the second wave of Covid-19 and it's disastrous impact on ground, we talked to a lot of top notch doctors, Virologists and scholars along with the frontline workers; staffs at the funeral sites, volunteers at graveyards and families of the deceased. No one's sure as to whether their loved one whom they lost to Covid, is even being counted in the official figures released by the government. To our surprise, the states that we visited, had reported Covid deaths much below as compared to what we saw on ground and heard from volunteers at cremation grounds and graveyards. The situation is disastrous indeed but the big question remains whether all those who are dying of Covid are even being counted and accomodated in the figures that we get everyday. No one is perfect including Modi, but his soul and efforts are towards the betterment of our country, unlike the oppositions. Have some sense of all other countries also collapsed to COVID, and people like you only would comment here and then go out in public without a mask on, and then blame the government for not doing enough. The question is are we doing enough to contribute to society by following all the safety guidelines than playing blame games? We are equally at fault for failing the government. To INDIA Please know your people need to take vitamin D. The vitamin prevents and reduces the severity of viral and bacterial lung infections. Many people are deficient. There are two You Tube videos by Dr. John Campbell: 1. Vitamin D deficiency in India, 2. Vitamin D and immunity. I am from the US. I am taking vitamin D to protect me. I also take a multivitamin. Many have been taking vitamin D for protection. In a video Dr. Campbell said he is taking 3000 IU of vitamin D a day. A study was done to compare patients with covid that did well to patients who did worse. - The patients who did worse had blood test levels low in vitamin D. The ones who had better outcomes had good blood levels of vitamin D. I heard it takes 10 days to be effective. Also zinc was found to protect from covid. Also, Vitamin D is fat soluble - so it will not absorb unless you have a fat from food in your stomach at the same time. Fat soluble vitamins are A. D, E, K. I heard Iodine defiency may be a factor , as a community during the 1918 pandemic did better that ate fish in their diet. I saw older research studies that showed face masks worked to protect from the flu, so it also helps protect from covid. The social distancing ( not gathering) for events is important to stop the spread of the virus. Here they say to stay 6 feet from each other. I listened to a doctor from France , and she said they found 13 feet is needed. The virus can linger in the air, I believe I heard for 4 hours. At a doctor apointment I was in a room alone and I took off my mask. The doctor said I needed to keep it on , because you don't know if the person in the room before me had covid. I have been praying to God for your country every day and know God will help. My faith is christian. I am so sorry for the loss of loved ones from this virus. We will all be reunited again in heaven. The families do not have any protective clothing and that is something I noticed in the hospitals too. They should not even be let in the hospitals really its no wonder the virus is spreading
I saw that as well. Hospitals packed with family and visitors of the Covid positive person as well as medical staff caring for multiple persons without gloves or wearing same gloves to care for multiple patients. All of which will increase rate of community spread.
Exactly. Here in America, we are not allowed to go to the hospital even if the family member is dying. We are able to zoom or talk on the phone but can not go in. India is not containing this at all. This virus is counting on our behavior to thrive. Even in thr interview, they are not standing 6 feet apart. It's beyond my understanding that they are not taking precaution.

Prediction is not possible. But it is extremely high. People are dying everywhere, in hospital, outside hospital, on roads, in houses everywhere... It is really sad but it cannot be even predicted how high the number is.

4000 deaths is a grossly understated number for India as a whole. The actual number would be anywhere between 5 to 10 times or even more per day.

The question raised is about death, let me ask why this country and the so called bureaucrats and the great elected ministers haven’t asked, what exactly has China done to control and how their society is managing this virus, no news paper has asked. Next is why raise fingers at Kerala when the maximum number of positive case is registered and the number of deaths is very small in the whole Kerala.
