  • This is the second time my Accucraft C16 has been steamed up, once before in the garage on a short piece of temporary track, but this was the first time running it outdoors on a continuous loop of track with any cars behind it.
I've got some Bachmann and Delton cars that are about to undergo body-mounted coupler modifications, I'll try and document this process!

Thanks! I'm currently acquiring some larger radii curves to setup more permanently in the yard. There will be progress videos on that soon!

Thanks! Accucraft is the manufacturer, they've made dozens of locomotives over the years but usually only have a few in active production at a time. I obtained mine via a seller on Etsy. But eBay and G scale forums are a good place to look for auctions and sales.
C16 refers to the real locomotive this is modeled after, being a 2-8-0 consolidation type engine with roughly 16,000lb of tractive effort. These were 3ft narrow gauge locomotives used throughout the Rocky Mountains from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's.
