Rio Grande SD40T-2 picking up the Ski Train.
Rio Grande #5356 picks up the daily passenger train bound for Winter Park.
Locomotive is a ScaleTrains N Scale RivetCounter SD40T-2, or "Tunnel Motor".
Cars are a mix of Walthers and Centralia with a Con-Cor observation car taking up the rear.

Houston Area Live Steamers and Southwest Live Steamers came together with the Southern Forest Heritage Museum in Longleaf, Louisiana to host the 4th annual steam up at this location. Approximately 15 folks here with steamers running on Richard Jacobs' track. Richard's K-36 is sporting one of this BarkBox exhaust enhancers to achieve the deep exhaust beat heard in the video. My new ScaleTrains Rivetcounter N scale SD40T-2 in the D&RGW scheme finally arrived after months of pre-order waiting. Just got it opened and loving it so far. More to come with it being lashed up to my Intermountain SD40T-2.

Georgetown Loop #40 Runs Back Around to the Front

Once the descent from Silver Plume back to Georgetown is complete, the locomotive must run back around to the front of the train in preparation for the next scheduled trip. Accucraft C16 - First Outdoor Fire Up and Test Run

This is the second time my Accucraft C16 has been steamed up, once before in the garage on a short piece of temporary track, but this was the first time running it outdoors on a continuous loop of track with any cars behind it. I've got some Bachmann and Delton cars that are about to undergo body-mounted coupler modifications, I'll try and document this process!

Is it accucraft 16 name and model of the train? Im from Argentina so im not sure, and would like to get one for myself. Btw really awesome model you have there.
Thanks! Accucraft is the manufacturer, they've made dozens of locomotives over the years but usually only have a few in active production at a time. I obtained mine via a seller on Etsy. But eBay and G scale forums are a good place to look for auctions and sales. C16 refers to the real locomotive this is modeled after, being a 2-8-0 consolidation type engine with roughly 16,000lb of tractive effort. These were 3ft narrow gauge locomotives used throughout the Rocky Mountains from the late 1800's to the mid 1900's.
