to fire blanks a firing pin is required to strike the primer and make the flash, on a blank firing replica usually the barrel is blocked or partially obstructed except they used a real gun and accidentally had live ammo on set. this never should have happened

So many failures, but the blame ultimately lies with him. It was his weapon, and he failed to follow safety standards.

No live ammo should be within a mile of the set when they are filming pointing guns at each other. If they are shooting live ammo on a day no guns should be pointed at anyone that day.

baldwin took many shortcuts and didn't follow saftey standards that are used for films (but of course costs more in money and time) ...
interesting a guy who often picks on others for their failures makes an impressive one himself... whuch he refuses to accept blame for

Nobody follows safety standards in a movie, not John Wayne, not anybody.
That's the job of the armorer.

Live rounds were mixed with "cosmetic" dummies. HGR didn't shake them. The director and Halyna
should have either checked the rounds or instructed AB not to point the weapon at them.

Why was there real rounds on a movie set? This is all crazy that an actor is in trouble for this, unless the actor hated the person he shot, and hid the real bullets to shot the person the actor hated. Also, why would an actor, that only works with someone for a few months, yet is paid massive amounts of money cares enough that they would kill someone? The actor would have to be an idiot, or have massive amounts of hate towards the person! Also, why did Amber Heard, and Johnny Deep get more coverage then this? Specially, when the government was saying aliens are real, but Amber Heard, and Johnny Deep got more coverage then FN Aliens!?!

Every weapon is loaded unless you have personally checked it. Yes, she screwed up, but he drew and fired. The one handling the firearm is ultimately responsible.
