I really enjoyed watching your masking and painting process. I’ve done a number of paint-schemes of varying complexity on real motorcycles so I truly appreciate your attention to detail on such a smaller scale. A millimeter error is virtually unnoticeable at full scale; I’m so impressed with your narrow tolerances.
I managed to find a nismo model from Tamiya that I might try and turn into the model car. Albeit not 100% accurate because I can't afford the movie kit and the hood is not the same. But my motivation is more the livery than the accuracy.
OMG !! I'm speechless!!! It's simply amazing. Absolutely I never saw a Brian's Skyline GT-R replica with so realistic details, just the one maked by Turn 10 Studios in Forza Motorsport 6 (my favorite car on this game). I'm waiting eagerly for the next video!!!

Im watching and watching your videos and cant find... how long would you let basecoat dry before you stick masking tape on it? if i leave it for too long would it affect top clear coat? thanks for your previous reply 😁
That all depends on the paint you use. And the temperature in the area. In most cases leaving it for a day is safe. In other cases its fine after an hour or so.

What type of masking type do you use? Only asking because I am doing the same car and used masking tape and it took off the silver paint? Any tips?
Make sure the body is prepped and sanded well before painting.

Every time I have to mask for some paint, I am always afraid of some paint getting under the tape and ruining the job... This would have killed me
