Chris, I live about 1 mile from you were working today. Although we did not have the devastation those houses had, we did have a landslide that was several hundred yards long come down our mountain and bury the road with 2-3 feet of debris. We have had several volunteers like yourself and your friends come with skid steers and mini excavators to clear our road. So glad you came to WNC to help those in need. Thank you!!

I'll be honest I find myself conflicted watching these videos. I'm glad to see you helping people impacted by the hurricanes, putting aside your day job to help people who never heard of you. Total respect for all that. And I also enjoy watching you take down these buildings, helping the owners start a new chapter in their life, rebuild after the hurricane came through. The conflicted part is at the same time as I'm enjoying these videos, I'm also watching people's houses be destroyed, but not just houses. A house isn't just a building, it's a place where memories were made, life events happened. It's hard to watch knowing people are watching the house that built those memories get destroyed. And I realize it's just a physical thing, the memories will remain long after the house is rebuilt, but it's still painfull to watch in some ways.

Great work Chris and crew. Unimaginable damage there. I kind of know what it's like, my folks lost their home 4 years ago in a huge wildfire that burned 130 homes and 78,000 acres in 12 hours because high winds were pushing the flames. That fire burned 131,542 acres in total. Some homes have still not been rebuilt. The fire changed the landscape for many years to come, same as there. It wiped out a vast area's of old growth timber. Driving up the highwa today, and it still looks like a bomb went off. It's pretty sad there and here.
