Phoenix palms are definitely not like those lol 😂 I loved your video. That cruise is on our bucket list for sure! I do also think it is interesting that you are aloud to walk on the structures. Your ending clip is so beautiful with the sun peaking through the clouds!
It would be hard for me not to see as many Mayan ruins as I could,(Little Explorer). I definitely agree that a cruise ship Mayan ruin excursion has its pros and cons. We went to Chichen Itza and spent about an hour there, the rest was driving. However, when we stayed at an all Inclusive resort in Cancun, we went on a private tour to Ek Balam and was able to spend a long time there. Great video boys!!!!!
Thanks Derick! We would do it again in a heartbeat. Also we’ve thought about an all inclusive… maybe sometime in the future. We’d love to do Cabo or PDV for a whole week
Could not imagine how amazing it would have been to see these sites for the first time in years! So lucky. Very happy they have been restored/preserved.
Guys! It is an awesome documentation of the tour. Hi there! I’m the tour guide in the video, and I’m so so happy you guys enjoyed it. I filmed a short video about Kohunlich that can be found in my channel. Cheers! Come back soon! Oh, btw, we’ve lifted COVID measures now, so now you can eat your lunch on the bus. 😅😂
Glad to see y’all are back! Another awesome video! I hate waking up at the crack of dawn for call times, but this excursion looked awesome and so worth it!
Thanks for watching!. It was a long ride, but it was scenic going through small towns and villages..and good for a little nap on the way back to the ship.
@@WaypointExplorers thanks for the video. Myself and my bf will be doing the same cruise as you come march next year can’t wait. And I’m thinking we will probably do this excursion.
I hate you guys so much. I never wanted to go on a cruise despite being invited with my in-laws a few times. And now you've ruined me. Now I want to go. Thanks for taking all my money 🤣🤣 Also, I missed you guys! Glad to have a video!
Tell your hubby we have his back! Also when we got the notification for your comment it only shows the first few words so I saw "I hate you guys... " And thought 'oh great another hate comment' LOL -Adam
@@WaypointExplorers I WAS SO AFRAID OF THAT! 😬😬😬 I almost went back to change it. Cause I'm an overthinker. I figured it would all be okay in the end, though. Just a momentary blood pressure spike, that's all. 😄 I'm sure my husband is glad someone finally talked some sense into me! He certainly never can....
This is always a big debate between my sister and I. Do you really feel that you had a better experience going to the ruins, given the long bus ride, than you would have just going to the beach and relaxing all day? My sister wants to see ruins. My idea of torture is riding a bus for 5 hours total to go look at them for a super abbreviated amount of time. To be fair, that is so absolutely NOT my genre of history obsession. I get the fascination, because I have my own that would bore other people, it's just not mine. One thing I didn't think about for sure though, as someone not thrilled about heights, is how coming DOWN would be after hiking up! I'd probably be scooting on my butt.
We have no regrets on the tour, it was an amazing experience...but..we wouldn't do it twice.. We went later and did a Ruin and Lagoon tour.. that would be a nice compromise. A closer ruin tour and then a couple hours on a boat in Bacalar
@@WaypointExplorers That doesn't sound too bad, and you're right, a good compromise. Will have to keep an eye out for something like that one of these days. I felt the same about the ship tour on the last morning. One of those things I'm glad I did the once, but wouldn't want to do it a second time! It didn't help I was hungover that morning lol
I'm always amazed when other countries let visitors explore their ruins by walking on them. Meanwhile, visitors here in Colonial Williamsburg can't touch a house that's not even 400 years old. That climb down is petrifying. Mayans must have been part goat.
WE, Great content! thanks for sharing!
Thank you! And thanks for watching !
The Mayan structures are so cool!! Definitely a bucket list item. Good exercise too with all those stairs 😅😂
They were amazing! The exercise almost justifies all the food we ate haha
The pothos spied from afar, lol. I'd have to go see those babies too.
Eagle Eyed Adam was on it!
That looked like a fun excursion!! Was hoping to see a soda can wrapping in aluminum foil with your lunches!!
I wouldn't have minded a beer can...lol

Thank you so much! I think everyone should try out an Oasis ship..and the ruins as well. -Steve

@@WaypointExplorers the RIU Palace Peninsula in Cancun was amazing. Would stay there again for sure
So cool. I'd give at least an arm to be an archaeologist working at those ruins 😍
Already can't wait to see the next episode!!

Love seeing the ruins! 👀 This such a cool cruise!!!
Thanks Adeana! The ruins were absolutely amazing. We would do it again
Got excited seeing this video pop up! The ruins looked so cool to experience, a bummer you didn’t have more time but still very awesome
Thank you! Yea it was quick, but better than not seeing them at all! It was an amazing experience

Thanks guys! It was pretty epic
This Mayan Ruin tour is a 2 hour bus ride away from the Boat ? Seems extreme !

It shocked us too. Going down is always worse! I don’t think we’d have done it if it was wet.
