Fireflies are beautiful and they’re a great environmental indicator that the area you happen to find them in, is very healthy in water, ground, and air quality.
Looking in my backyard seeing these bright yellow lights wishing around is still such an amazing sight. I grew up catching lightening bugs (and smearing their guts on our shirts so we’d ‘glow’) and now I go outside most evenings at sunset and catch them with my kids (except we have a strict catch and release policy, so no glowing guys on our shirts or anywhere else) and it’s still as amazing now as it was when I was a child.
