      You're thinking about the tundra biome, which yes is inherently treeless. "Artic" however, is just the northernmost geographical range in the northern hemisphere and has boreal forest biomes as well as tundra.

      Yes, this is above the arctic circle.
      Were you thinking ice sheet? That has nothing to do with being arctic.
