I'm a freshman in highschool, and I'm currently taking a robotics course. But getting to know how to program, the robot( we use Scorbot ER V's) Wire, learn about proxy sensors, light curtains, and how to take it apart and rebuild it, is fascinating. Our teacher is a MSU grad, and is amazing at what he does. We just got a couple of FANUC bots, from a GM plant, and were fixing em up, and planning on using them next year. Its somthing you actually need to study, and try out to get, but its all fun.
I am referring this course after 13 yrs , I can't believe the course content that I am learning in my institute as an introductory course and here content in this course are still same 😂, probably robotics didn't evolve or my education institutions coursebooks are little lagging from rest of the world 😂😂
Im new to robotics, but in my robotics course my teacher started us off with the lego mindstorms and I felt that was easy and now we will be working with cs source code for this semester so I hope it goes well becuase I think robotics is where I want to go in my education .
@@buggydclown9143 He said he thinks he wants to go to robotics located in education. I think he needs to take a trip to the English department and learn the meaning of words first.
@grimsailor Why is it too late? I've "wasted" many years as well, and I'm going to start studying robotics now after a masters degree in Chinese, and working as a teacher for several years!
probably not considering robotics is a branch of mechanical and electrical engineering, so that prior knowledge is assumed. You probably wanna go to university if you can if you wanna do robotics to its full potential
Unterarzt what? Crazy talk. Break down the components and simply learn them individually. All the knowledge you could possibly need is online in the form of videos, books, lectures, etc. If it doesn’t make sense, backtrack

Really enjoyed the explanations! I have started my first semester for Robot Mechanics and the videos are assisting a lot for my studies. I hope to see latest videos to be uploaded too, as these are taken close to a decade ago!
i looked on google and i couldn't find any thing for contact modeling of contact point without friction and hard finger and soft finger can you help me
how do all this gets translate into a AI program running in the Humanoid? humans wont be the operator so how will jacobian or IK PID controls be implemented control and or actuated? i made a AI program in VS2013 and want to have it control my humanoid platform via serial com to the Arduino MCU which in turn will send commands to motor driver and at the same time use feedback from onboard sensors respectfully in order to successfully Servoing with and thru the environment

@souasazzz If you feel comfortable with the math involved, I don't see a reason why not. :) But you have to be sure that you do have the required basics. Otherwise you will stumble across obstacles on each and every corner, which might discourage you to keep going. It's a double-blade knife.
Dear Mr. Oussama. It is very good lecture and very interesting for me. Can anyone please help me to find full text book for Robotics. Thank you very much
but if you think about it, (now) over thirteen thousand people HAVE SEEN IT, who (presumably) wouldn't have enrolled in the class at Stanford. and that's kinda cool.
I wish I could get into Stanford. Not because of this lecture, but because I want the name on my resume. lol I'm 18. Maybe I'll be there in grad school for EE. Thanks a lot, Stanford.
i was inspired by this video about robotics and now i think i love robotics but what course should i take in college? I'm from the asia and there is no robotics course in my country only mechanical engineer and also i want to know about the program so please tell me what course should i take.. tnx...prof..
This course looks really good. I couldn't help but laugh when he said "uh" nine times in the first 35 seconds of speaking though. I can already tell that's going to become very distracting for me.
hi, new to robotics, just wondering if anyone was maybe interested in giving me a private lesson ,over media of course, i dont know if could benefit anyone, maybe someone wanting to do it for fun or just maybe for practice, maybe for like future teachings, just let me know, of course i cant pay, im a young learner sadly but id appreciate the help

hey bro how r u after 13 yrs
He explained it way better than my professor this morning. Thanks!
I watched this to gauge my ability to start in this type of class. Very informative! Thank you!
I come to here for my practice for listening, but it excites my interest about robotics

Very helpful. How nice of Stanford to release their courses!
I plan on majoring in robotics eventually, hopefully i won't get lost in this lecture. Thanks.
Did you later on really major in Robotics?
Thank you so much, it is really useful to me and to us! Thank you, Stanford!
I been working for Honda Manufactoring of Alabama for almost 10 years now .I am now being trained to become an operator!

I don't know anything of robotics? Is this the course to follow for beginners like me?

Using several supercomputers to have flexi free spatial kinematics for human like simulated motion capturing and activation.
Here I am 15 years later, learning about robotics and 2008 was my gap year after matriculating 👽.
Thanks for lecture. I study Robotics in Technical University of Sofia in Bulgaria.
hi
Hello from 2024 ;) Studying it here in Kiev, Ukraine
Thanks for the vid!!! I'm in a robotics club so this is very helpful!
What do you do now man?
What is the abbreviation for the word Borg in P BORG, and what does each letter symbolize?

I guess it's kinda off topic but do anyone know of a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
@Koda Kole I dunno I watch on Flixportal. just search on google after it :P -connor
@Connor Tripp Thank you, I went there and it seems to work :) I really appreciate it!!
@Koda Kole no problem :D
Are these Robotics lectures still relevant today ?
Does anybody know what software he is using for the "balancing man" robot simulation at 45:45 ?

Binary
What software is he using to model the humanoid simulations?
It looks fun and fascinating!
He used Turing machine!
keep it simple... program simple robots or in simulators... that helps.
3:00 but GPS has a limited accuracy. It is almost impossible to find out where the arms are relative to the robot this way!
The location is of course not pin-point accurate, but an approximation of the actual position of the end-effector.
Bharat Natsumi performance by various artists being replicated by real women robots will become realty getting projected into the future coming back to humans
what software is that ? the robot motion
excellent class..and explanations..thank you sir...
Flying hypersonic robots transforming to faster than speed of light engine speeds to beyond universes culmination of robotic technology to advanced space discovery explorations .brought by from futuristic time machines to present day
May some one help me please. if I make one device, what could I do to make the computer control directly to that device through USB cable?
best of luck, buddy... and god bless you.
Hey Stanford, great video.
Interesting. I have watched 15 minutes into it and will watch the rest later.

@holyvincent420 it's in the syllabus . see if you can find it online. maybe this is opencourseware like MIT.
can someone tell me the things i must already know in order to study robotics
i think you should know electronics, programming esp c++, connecting sensors to microcontrollers eg arduino
Someone please tell me the name of the software used for the simulation in the video
Can I obtain the robot simulation software (SAI?) form anywhere? I looked around on Google and couldn't find anything.
Lukeme9X u can try the NAO choreographe software that can sumulate a NAO humanoid robot.Need some Python/C++ skills
icommand >Python/C++ skills.
Perfect!
Very helpful thank you for uploading it
Sadly, can't have access to the Lecture Notes.
thx for you and hope to get more course in mechanical department like computer integret manufacture and other subject
bhit benha unversity
by course material is this a list of books & literature to peruse?
Dear Mr. Oussama. It is very good lecture and very interesting for me.
Can anyone please help me to find full text book for Robotics. Thank you very much
around 37:00 I think he means 'moment of' inertia
Thak you very VERY much, Stanford!
but if you think about it, (now) over thirteen thousand people HAVE SEEN IT, who (presumably) wouldn't have enrolled in the class at Stanford. and that's kinda cool.

I'm architect, and I don't dislike this...
Does anybody know which textbook this course uses?
Craig's "Introduction to robotics : mechanics and control".
Burak Boyacıoğlu
Thank you!
Burak Boyacıoğlu thank you very much
introduction to robotics by khatib and Kolorov

is this course related to animation and game development?
AZZAMNO1 hell no lol
No😂
AZZAMNO1 yeah I guess
Yes if you're doing a 3D animaton, you need to know the angle of joint, and where your frames are headed to.
I wish I could use the HAL suit (the white exo-skeleton) for an Iron Man suit. They cost ~$10,000 but right now theyre only for medical use.
@shichibukai500 electronics, computer science, physics supplement with youtube videos?
Thank you for this!
hello thank you for shearing sir
at 3:33 "to locate" means to locate where the robot is in space, correct?
anyone help please. thank you
Correct.
This is going to be tedious work to find that elusive answer??
what is the conclusion of the video
Series of robots performing indias top talent simultaneos aerobatics sync with video and drag music
does anyone know which software he uses around 46:00??
thanks a lot~~ :P
what's the name of the stimulator?
which software they are using
this is exelent
great just one word its Great
this is very helpful, too bad only less than 10000 people have seen it.
@holyvincent420
not much mathematics is reqd just u just knw dot product and multiplication of matrices
is this for a freshman class?
does anyone know if this course is technically a graduate level?
yup what can i help you.....i.e m very glad to help you out
thank you stanford....
happy new year 2022
Although I suppose it may help you avoid double negatives.
oh shyt!!! SKYNET IS HERE!
Architects? what about software architects? did you know that branch?
I wish I could get into Stanford. Not because of this lecture, but because I want the name on my resume. lol
I'm 18. Maybe I'll be there in grad school for EE.
Thanks a lot, Stanford.
It's 15 years later. Does your resume have the name, Stanford, or other well known universities, such as MIT or Ivy school like, Harvard?
13:50
Thank you very much.
Very good!
legs beat wheels in alot of ways, but its yet to be seen fully mastering the fact.

we already are.
Good one
Thanks Stanford. ^.^
i wanna do some project. can anyone help me??i am mechanical student 3rd sem
Dustin Hoffman knows about robotics...cool
interesting indeed...
🚩: finish this by 7.21 -xxm
@kingrion you demolished that guy like he's a sheet of messed up paper
Anybody know where one can get the lecture notes?
Why not to upload the subtitles?
Thanks
masyaAllah, very interesting..
So when are we going to fight wars with these?
