I'm a freshman in highschool, and I'm currently taking a robotics course. But getting to know how to program, the robot( we use Scorbot ER V's) Wire, learn about proxy sensors, light curtains, and how to take it apart and rebuild it, is fascinating. Our teacher is a MSU grad, and is amazing at what he does. We just got a couple of FANUC bots, from a GM plant, and were fixing em up, and planning on using them next year. Its somthing you actually need to study, and try out to get, but its all fun.

Im new to robotics, but in my robotics course my teacher started us off with the lego mindstorms and I felt that was easy and now we will be working with cs source code for this semester so I hope it goes well becuase I think robotics is where I want to go in my education .

I am referring this course after 13 yrs , I can't believe the course content that I am learning in my institute as an introductory course and here content in this course are still same 😂, probably robotics didn't evolve or my education institutions coursebooks are little lagging from rest of the world 😂😂

probably not considering robotics is a branch of mechanical and electrical engineering, so that prior knowledge is assumed. You probably wanna go to university if you can if you wanna do robotics to its full potential

Unterarzt what? Crazy talk. Break down the components and simply learn them individually. All the knowledge you could possibly need is online in the form of videos, books, lectures, etc. If it doesn’t make sense, backtrack

@souasazzz If you feel comfortable with the math involved, I don't see a reason why not. :) But you have to be sure that you do have the required basics. Otherwise you will stumble across obstacles on each and every corner, which might discourage you to keep going. It's a double-blade knife.

i made a AI program in VS2013 and want to have it control my humanoid platform via serial com to the Arduino MCU which in turn will send commands to motor driver and at the same time use feedback from onboard sensors respectfully in order to successfully Servoing with and thru the environment
