It's definitely bigger than 3mm
A tip for those using 3mm-4mm cord specifically:
I followed this pattern and adjusted my measurements and it turned out perfectly!
Instead of 12 7ft cords, i did 12 9ft cords and it left me with about 3.5” so that there’s enough to work with to finish but not too much that it’s wasted.
And be mindful that depending on the size, style, and denseness of the cord ANY macrame pattern will turn out a bit differently! Be nice!

Beautiful wallet :) But the cords for me were way too short - I got 12 cords 250 cm each and I was able to make 10 holes. So my wallet isn' so perfect but I made it even though. Thanks for sharing! Now I am planning to make your bag.

Now you know that you consume more length than I do for the same project so keep that in mind for your next projects and cut the cords longer. Good luck with your bags❤️

You can use any type of cord you want when doing macrame just make sure to adjust your lengths according to the thickness in the type of cord that you're using It's not that difficult

hi I tried on 3mm twisted cord I got only 18 lines ,the outcome is the length of the purse is more ,this time I will try wid 16 cords and I will take 300cm each cord ,,, anyways I made a beautiful purse thanq so much

Liked your Design but your cord size isn't enough broo my whole design was ruined because I had to extend the cord plus there was so much difficulty in making this when you are using real macrame thread and not a lace like you so please at least have disclaimer or tip so that we can know which thread is appropriate and size thread can vary depending on its material.
She is using real macrame thread broo. How rude are you!!! . It’s clearly listed as 3 mm. Your knot tension is obviously looser or you wouldn’t need more cord. Rude calling her broo…. Read before you moan.
@@stephaniebotfield7188okay so first of all i am not being rude I mentioned in the first line that "I like your design". Secondly the thread she is using is a laundry rope and not macrame thread you can google it people use it to hang clothes or as shoe lace or anything else because it is strong. Thirdly macrame ropes are of various types such as braided, twisted, & untwisted and for your kind information each rope size varies according to it's type. as I was a beginner at the time i posted that comment I was not knowing size can vary according to the rope so i was disappointed. Okay. maybe I was at fault but she was at fault too bruh. I don't hate her or anything her designs are absolutely gorgeous.

Clever clogs your wrong again. Bobbiny and Bilibag companies make it. Go away and suck a lemon. You are very rude. Try adding an extra 20 cms it saves a lot of work if your new to it….

Hello i love your design but why i make the wallet the dimensions didn't same.

Height: 3.5 inch (8 cm)
Width: 4 inch (10 cm)
Hi! The final size of any macrame project will turn out differently for everyone. The tightness of the knots makes a big difference in size and the thickness of cords varies slightly from different brands.
If you want it bigger, try doing knots loose😄
I tried it. But using slightly a large diameter of yarn resulting not so quite good in size of the purse. So, I'm trying again with another size of yarn. 😅😅😅

Hi, if you use 4mm, it will turn out slightly bigger. Since the cord is thicker, you will need more length of each cord. I would do 9ft for each cord instead of 7ft😄

How do you mesure cord for any project?
if i want this in a bigger form to make some sort of a book sleeve, how should i connect the sides so the book fits?

Did you use 3mm cords?
Yes they are made with 3mm cords. In the beginning of the video, demonstration was done with 5mm cords but the rest of the demonstration is done with 3mm cords.
@@macramewithflora To be honest I tried it with 3mm cord, and it didn't turn out as wide as I wanted (only 9.5cm). I made it for my sister, and she said she's unable to put her cards inside.

안녕하세요, 아마 브랜드마다 같은 3mm라도 두께차이가 있을수도 있을 것 같아요. 그리고 매듭을 타이트하게 지으면 전체적인 크기가 작아지기도 하니까 다음에 만드실 때는 매듭을 너무 꽉 조이지 말고 루즈하게 해보시면 아마 지갑이 좀 더 크게 완성이 될거에요😄
