This has become hands-down my favorite WoW gameplay channel. I look forward to your new adventures every week so much! Don't worry about not being perfect in dungeons... it's a much more forgiving experience when you're playing in a follower dungeon. Much less stress than with real people and much easier to learn. I still haven't started the end-game content yet, LOL. I'm working on trying to reach 2000 battle pets and also doing all the old, low-level quests I'd never finished over the years. It's been fun! I don't even care that I spoiled the storyline a little bit for myself by watching your videos because I enjoy them so much. Keep having fun out there, Zouty! :)
It's an honor to have you say this! I'm glad that you enjoy the videos. It sounds like to me you are playing the game just how you want too which is the best way to do it I think.
There is no reason to rush or apologize for experiencing the game for the first time! We are all here to have fun and witness your first time going through newer content! 😁
Shift+J is the hotkey to open your Adventure Guide, the place where previously you checked your monthly traders token objectives. It ALSO has handy mechanic breakdowns for every boss of every dungeon (and raid, and delve)! Definitely worth reading for the aspiring dungeoneer.
Oh and one more thing: Don't forget to open the Great Vault in Dornogal every weekly refresh. In North America, the weekly reset is on Tuesday, in the EU it is on Wednesday. These are the days to look forward to as you can pick up a new set of weekly quest objectives which will grant decent gear upon completion (the quest givers stand just outside of the Dornogal Inn). And as I said, Tuesday also resets the Great Vault. So you may pick up your reward from the objectives (raid, dungeons, delves) that you have completed the previous week. The Great Vault is also highlighted as a little icon on the minimap in Dornogal.
Don't worry about your gameplay, man! We love to see it! About your question, I'm not a hardcore player, but i like doing endgame content while it's relevant, right now I'm working on geting the KSM and AOTC achievements with a friend, they are achievements for PVE content, in M+ Dungeons and Heroic Raid. But as the season pass by, I like to level alts and do some farms on old game content for mounts and transmogs. And just a little tip for you improuve the quality of life in your game play, I'm seeing you targeting mobs with your cursor, this is very important when you need to target a priority mob, but in the majority of pulls, you can just target an enemy with "TAB" from your keyboard, It'll target the nearest mob so you can start attacking right away, you can also change the targeted mob hitting "TAB" multiple times until you find the mob you want to kill first. I find this way of targetting much easier and faster than clicking on the mob, try it out sometime.
Great to see the progress as always, to explain some of your questions, second boss what to do with the absorb, the boss will keep spawning those adds during the fight if they live the will give the boss a shield that you will have to break through, thats why you saw absorb on your damage numbers for a little there, kill the adds = no shield. Last boss Void corruption is actually a debuff/dot and you can see it pop up when you got it and in the top right in your debuff bar, the way to remove it is to walk near one of the portals that spawn and it will get rid of void corruption, dont go in the portal it will hurt, purple circles to the edges you were doing great on. This is slightly late info but when you do the dungeon on heroic or mythic eventually you can reference this or like another comment said Shift+J for adventure guide, it will be your best friend. As for what I like doing, small amount of pvp here and there, progressing in heroic raid with a chill guild, and doing Mythic+ dungeons with some buddies and some pugs, I just got 2k mythic rating a few hours ago to get my Keystone Master achievement and mount for the season, a bit of a grind but was fun.
For the endgame, I'm mainly grinding my alchemy/herbalism professions, doing solo delves (just beaten lvl 9 yesterday!) doing world quests, and the raiding Heroic tier Nerubian Palace with my guild, having cleared the NM and 4/8 HM :D Playing a mistweaver monk for the first time, I'm having a blast! Hope we can see you try the LFR mode someday
Keep the content coming! Your combat log was showing during your dungeons, put it on general so you can see if your dungeon group is typing to you. For what i do in game i do a bit of everything: I have a raiding group i run with and i like collecting mounts and pets and getting all of the achievements.
One of the things I've really enjoyed over the years is running old raids for mounts and mogs. Any raid from expansions before Battle for Azeroth should just fall over. You can check appearances in your warband collection (SHIFT-P) to see all the old armor sets that are available, and you can finally mog out of that clown suit your wearin' :P. One word of advice I'd give about this vid specifically is, in regards to a boss fight, you usually want to kill any adds that spawn during the fight as soon as possible and avoid standing in any puddle the boss creates (though there are exceptions). It's not a big deal at the level your playing at currently but it's a good thing to keep in mind as you progress.
actually a few bosses in Legion are challenging to do9 solo.. My Priest cant quite do the DPS check on Kil'Jaeden Mythic because of the bombardment and the darkness etc. Antorus is challenging on the Aggramar and Argus fights for classes that dont have massive upfront damage bursts
@@Spudder77 By all means, for you see "a marathon, not a sprint" is the actual turn of phrase which you can Google for yourself, and it makes sense because marathons are long, paced, endurance activities and sprints are short, explosive bursts. They are both races, which don't always have multiple laps, so that subtext was not denoted properly. Next time you can use the real phrase and there will be no ambiguity! Hope this helps!
I really love your videos ❤ in case you didn’t know it: when you are in a dungeon group or even a raid group, your battle shout buff will be applied not only to you but to the whole group. So everyone benefits from that buff 🙂 and it does not persist through death, so it’s always nice to reapply it after a wipe. But don‘t stress yourself, I also sometimes forget to use the Arcane Intellect buff when I‘m playing my mage alt. Sometimes I just remember to apply it to my group when we are almost finished with the dungeon 😂 oops 😅
Don't forget dark moon faire starts sunday, it's really fun...... I will bug you if I have to lol Just like Brewfest there will be commoners that will offer a quest to go there, all the holidays are like that i think.
Don't worry about your game play in dungeons. I'm a healer for my group of friends and I spend the whole time shouting 'Get out of the fire' or 'Watch for the cone attack!' You're doing fine mate. I'd recommend you join a guild. If you get the right bunch of folk, they'll help you fine tune your rotation and it makes dungeons and raids great fun!
Zouty, I played Diablo III for 11 years, until Blizzard did somethign on their end that caused crashing with my windows system,.. I spent a month trying to track down the problem, without success. I have better things to do with my time. I also was unable to laucnh the D4 Beta testing.. but after watching the art aesthetic, and storyline concept, I am very happy I didnt waste the money ona story I DESPISE. I get my Diablo fix through Immoprtal now... It launched not long after D2Resurrected, and Immortal takes place immediately after destruciton of the worldstone, with the shards flying all over sanctuary.. Its about 20 years before D3 and you are basically playing the Nephalem when they are first beginning to emerge. I really enjoy the flavor.
You should use the addon Deadly Boss Mods. DBM is a crucial addon for mechanics callouts. It will let you know what to do if you are unfamiliar with the different dungeons and raids.
Your gameplay is fine for a begginner youll get a muscle memory the more dungeons you spam. I remember when the dungeon finder was first implemented people used to be so bad and slow. Using interrupts and doing mechanics will help tons.
I actually leveld to 80 in my Shadow Priest in 2009 before LFD launched, without doing ANY Northrend dungeons at all.. SInce my IRL freinds refused to dungeojn with me until I hit 80.. Real supportive they were. But LFD was NOTHING compared to the clusterf*** that was LFR in Dragon Soul! HAHAHAHA
Did you watch any the world first race ? (for the new raid) Should do a reaction video to it and maybe try it on "Raidfinder" difficulty. Just a tip there are plenty of guides on youtube for all the dungeons, on normal difficulty you can ignore a lot of mechanics and still be fine but that changes some when you get into Heroics but specially mythic+ where you also have to help with interrupting mob casts and crowd control them to reduce the incoming damage.
The Void corruption is a dot that deals ramping damage. To remove it you have to go near one of the portals located on the edge of the room. Some mechanics aren't that obvious and you have to know what they are. If you are interested I would recomend the videos by Tactyks. He has great dungeon guides.
NGL, as long as you have auto loot on, combat looting really isn't a huge issue. as you get into group content there's 1 major thing you need to know: any time you attack from the FRONT of a mob, they can dodge, block, and parry your attacks. this can consist of a total dps loss of nearly 15-20% depending on how many levels above you the boss is. the second thing you'll learn through experience is don't stand in swirlies/fire! yup every little thing you stood in in the follower dungeon WILL 1-SHOT you in the mythic version of the dungeon XD A DEAD DPS DOES NO DAMAGE! finally for group content, i highly recommend you get the addon "Details" its a fantastic way to monitor your own progress. it tracks every little thing that happens in the combat log so it will tell you what your top dps abilities are, how you match up to others in your party, if you die itll tell you which mechanics were responsible, etc. its SO HELPFUL. you'll also want 1 of 2 options for boss mods: Deadly Boss Mods or BigWigs/LittleWigs. they will give you a countdown for boss mechanics and remind you in real time how to handle them, whether its get out, group with allies, spread from allies, etc. its not just a noob thing, we ALL use one of these two. for every boss, every dungeon, every raid, etc. none of us freeball it like you are doing now. if you'd like, i can make you a very small weakaura that will remind you to use battle shout if you keep forgetting. just let me know! there's a lot of really powerful weakauras but im more of a fan of simple ones that only do 1 thing. the best ways to get addons are either WowUp or CurseForge. both programs work well but CurseForge does tend to have a few ads and stuff.
Glad you’re feeling better, the flu sucks. Enjoyed your video! And remember that there are about eight thousand “expert wow” channels out there. We love your stuff BECAUSE it’s all through your noob eyes lol 😊
it is a bit challenging to get up to the iLevel required for LFR since one cant just craft some of the early greens like in othe rexpacs. I had to farm stones for days to get enough to upgrade my Veteran and CHampion items
