Yeah, yikes. Looks like Brynley was way off her counts cause her opposite Kendall on the left didn’t even start until Kloe’s group started. You can tells the girls around Brynley when she was tumbling were very confused. I’m sure she was just in her head a little too much and lost count. I did notice out of that whole group tumbling at that time that Jordyn was the only one who spotted behind herself before starting to tumble. Hopefully they all start spotting behind themselves just in case. I know the routine is designed count-wise so that they don’t really have to but that collision is why they should. Plus anyone could fall in the way accidentally, etc. and end up getting trampled or bust too. But you’re so right could’ve been worse for one or both of them injury wise.
@@rainathemoodreader Yes exactly, that was what instantly clued me in that she was off-count, was the fact that 1) her opposite hadn't moved at all and 2) choreography-wise it wouldn't make sense to have those diagonals go at the same time as the panel tumblers. (I did comp cheer for years and now coach/choreo for my own team) I think you're right and she just lost count from the excitement/nerves/adrenaline. Could totally happen to anyone. As a coach though, the amount of fear that would've been struck into my heart seeing 2 of my girls about collide would've scared years off my life. Just glad they both seemed relatively okay and were able to get up and keep going. As you said, I hope maybe it's a learning opportunity to, to always spot before they go!
@@rainathemoodreader Also, in hindsight, you can see at 0:35 that she majorly fell out of her arabian, like hands on the floor and everything (I don't keep up with Senior Elite normally so I don't know their names lol, is that one Brynley?). I'm sure that also contributed to her getting stressed out/in her head and then messing up her next pass. That phenomenon, you know, where once you mess up one thing in a routine, you're more likely to mess up the rest because then you're in your head about having messed up.
@@hnichole I was never a cheerleader but was a competitive dancer. I can testify that messing up in one area throwing you off for the rest of a routine. She likely just had a bad day and one performance shouldn't be held against her.

I think you're right and she just lost count from the excitement/nerves/adrenaline. Could totally happen to anyone.
