The weather plays it’s part. Boks had two tests in rain, Romania and England. All Blacks favorites but the tests Boks went through will benefit them.
I've looked at all the pundits during the past 2 months, and I agree nwith you: these two are two of the best and they are the most objective of everybody.
If you think these dudes are objective then I am gobsmacked. None of the commentators except the South African ones believe the Boks would win. We used to fighting so we will prevail. Go Bokke

It's going to be a titanic struggle. Both teams have spoken in the media earlier in the week that the first 20 minutes will set the tone for the match. It will come down to which team is mentally stronger and can rise to the occasion.
These two nations have become incredibly dominant at the World Cup. After this Final they will have won seven of the 10 tournaments completed and five consecutive.
As an All Blacks fan I'm hopeful that they can win the Final but if the Springboks win I will be OK with it, such is the level of respect between the two nations, despite our long-standing rivalry.

As a Saffa, I really want the Boks to take it, simply coz of their draw journey, but if NZ win I honestly won't be sad, as they deserve to be there and are the best.

@@Lawless2401 New Zealand were bigger favourites over South Africa going into this tournament, have realistically only had one difficult game (in the quarters) and have had a favourable schedule (with five weeks of minnows in between their games against France and Ireland). It would be a surprise if they DIDN’t make it to the finals.
@@Lawless2401 don't lie. NZ were clear favourites to win the WC after the championship. NZ were 1 and FRA/IRE tied at 2.

The Irish game was an experiment. Yes, they had a 7-1 split but they didn't play the tactics of setting up line-outs from penalties 5 meters out from the goal line. They deliberately opted for long distance attempts at poles from non-recognised kickers to test them in a pressurised situation.....think about it...they knew they would still progress and saw that game as a good time to test a few things...
Thanks for saying what I have been thinking all along. Always test tactics in a high pressure situation to guage its effectiveness. If the Boks did that in the Ireland game then they are more alpha than I thought😮😮😮

7/1 Split against Ireland was not the problem, the problem was at 10 in that game and I am not hating on Manie I love the guy.
The best description I've read of the match is an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object. Head says All Blacks
I heard an interview with Steve Hansen after the Twickenham game and he made an interesting point. The 2 teams were at completely different stages of their preparations. SA were gearing up for their pool of death and a must win game against Scotland first up. Whereas NZ were eyeing their first game against France, an important game but win or lose they were still pretty much assured a quarter final spot. So the teams were at different levels of physical & mental intensity and not too much could be read into that result and score line. Good luck to both sides but as a kiwi I’m hoping Steve was right and that we get a great game between 2 great but contrasting teams. Go the All Blacks!!
As a Springbok fan, this game has me nervous! The more NZL played, the better they became during the RWC... Most tense game ever!
I think this Allblack team will be too good for the World Champs tonight. NZ offence and defence has been elevated to something very scary. Don't care about bomb squad or scrums. Smart enough to let em win 1 or 5 scrums as long as we win ours who cares? Can anyone in the bomb squad kick a drop goal? Richie Mou, DMac, Jordy, and BB all have mean drop goals. Our forwards will run the Bokke ragged and we know we have to be ahead and make em chase. If we can keep 15 players on the paddock, and manage Mr Barnes, the score line will surprise Tim and many others.

Going with the Boks. All things being equal, I think the ABs would take it, but the Boks are able to dig deeper than any team. That, I think, will be the difference. The first 20 minutes are going to be the most brutal piece of rugby we have ever seen.

Last year at Ellis Park and at Mt Smart the so called ‘Bomb Squad’ made f-all difference. The ABs won comfortably. Those were the last 2 games that mattered. Twickenham was a practise match.
At Ellis Park the Springboks made something like 14 changes to their team from the week before, and at Mt Smart the starters hadn’t played in months. In both games they outscored the All Blacks in the second half, so actually the bench did make a difference.
I think with that Irish game, if libbok could of fired and kicked properly then the 7-1 would of worked. That's the risk, everyone needs to be 110%

As a rugby purist I would definitely prefer the AB's with their style of play to win. However I also want to support our two Munster players on the SA bench, RG Synman and Jean Klein plus Felix Jones fellow Dublin on the coaching staff. I am also aware that SA are in such difficulties on the homefront so it would give their country a great lift to win.
So that leaves me wanting the best team to win on the day and everyone happy they gave it their all.

NZ reacted to SA not 7:1. The 7:1 split has never worked against 15 men. They lost to Ireland and the ABs had 14 men and top flight players out. NZ will attempt to outpace and be physically committed. 7:1 is a hail mary

Boks are the underdogs AB's are peaking at the right time, Boks have little left in the tank, it will be tough to beat the AB's, but you never know. Good luck Boks, bring it back home.
Big ask for the Boks, been a tough run in till this point. That said there is a lot of pride and bucket loads to play for. My patriotism puts me with the Boks and always will.
We cannot afford a start like we had in Mt Smart though. Ideally 8+ ahead at the turn would temporarily ward off a trip to the cardiac center for me 😁
From what I have read it seems its a close game by general consensus. I think its a blow out one way or the other.
Who starts best? SA have this uncanny knack of not doing that, like wayyyy to often, with the exception of the warm up against NZ, making life really difficult.
The Kiwis are on the up and up, at the right time. They pipped the Irish but fell to France at the start, vice versa for us.
