Bullwon, do you just use a mouse and keyboard, or do you have some kind of controller? I tried using a PS5 controller, which works ok for infantry, but not at all for operating helicopts or ground vehicles. If one could use a joystick with the LAAT that would be really great
@@stalwart56k you’re able to use controllers for flying any squad vehicle. it’s what i do. i use a plugged in xbox controller with no 3rd party software. simply plug in then turn on the controller and go to keybinds. press whatever buttons you want mapped. pretty sure there’s tutorials on how to do so, but i figured it out on my own. it’s easiest to transfer a button layout from another game you’ve flown in. for me that was gta

Unfortunately, I don't think this update has the Infantry Overhaul in it yet. It looks like it's just the two new factions for the game. I am very excited for the Infantry Overhaul though and what it will mean for Galactic Contention.
You can tell that Bull has become a veteran of this game when he doesn't even show emotion after shooting an enemy plane out of the sky. Or how he is still drawn to orbital blasts, but yet doesn't die. Great editing Bull. Thanks for the video, mate! o7

You have spider droids and huge squad shields, Sorensics plays are all very washed out in appearance . . . . . . Are you all playing different mods or is just different settings wwithin the same mod?.
This mod, Galactic Contention, is for the game Squad. I believe all the content you've been watching from those guys is from the Star Wars mod for the game Arma 3. Two different games, with two different engines. Arma is a much older game and engine, and requires a much better PC to run well, but there is a TON of modded content for it. I've never played the Star Wars mod for Arma, but I do watch a lot of it too! Squad looks and plays much differently than Arma as well. Hope this helped!
Genuine question. How is it that when you shoot the gun feels like it barely moves but when i shoot it feels like my gun is a dog that just realized we arrived at the vet? Is there some trick i dont know about?
I get this question a lot and I dont know how to answer most of the time. Truthfully all I do is pull down (quite a bit) and thats it. I play with a somewhat lower sensitivity with my mouse at 400 dpi, so maybe it is a LOT harder for higher dpi/sensitivity players to control. But also I do believe some weapons within certain roles do have more recoil than others. Such as the heavy gunner roles, hence why mounting with C is usually a better idea than trying to aim while standing. Trust me, I do still have recoil, and the clips I choose through editing are usually ones where I can control the recoil and get kills. Hope this helped somewhat
