For a minute I am not saying that others are not good. I love Kushore da, Mukesh, Manna da, Talat Mehmood. All were genius in their own right. They had their own boundaries. But two voices and their versatility was unmatched... Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. They were institutions in themselves. They could sing any song, gazal, classicals, comedy songs or any other songs effortlessly. To add an additional feather in the cap, Mohammad Rafi was a great human being, kind hearted, helping others wherever I can. Always smiling, ni hearted towards others. I donot remember to have seen his photo anywhere without that devine smile..!!!

I was born in 1947, few months before Independence. From that time I am hearing this. great devine voice and even today I am mad about this voice...
For a minute I am not saying that others are not good. I love Kushore da, Mukesh, Manna da, Talat Mehmood. All were genius in their own right. They had their own boundaries.
But two voices and their versatility was unmatched... Mohammad Rafi and Lata Mangeshkar. They were institutions in themselves. They could sing any song, gazal, classicals, comedy songs or any other songs effortlessly.
To add an additional feather in the cap, Mohammad Rafi was a great human being, kind hearted, helping others wherever I can. Always smiling, ni hearted towards others. I donot remember to have seen his photo anywhere without that devine smile..!!!
His sublime and uncanny voice leaves me spellbound. Heartfelt tribute to the legendary singer the great Rafi sahab.
