Thinking about doing some more #surfing #aerialvideo. Not sure if it will be the #quadcopter or #hexcopter, but I'm sure I'll pull something off. Glad to see you're still around and watching my videos... :)
Oh man, I don't remember what the ones are called I used in this video. I've made new ones using water noodles for $1.88 from WalMart. Posting a video tonight or tomorrow on it on the XProHeli channel.
love your videos. the water there looks cold. I come from Durban in South Africa and our sea has huge waves and the water is very warm because we are tropical (even in winter). We host international surfing events so its nice to see your beach. Santa Cruz looks a bit cold for me though.
Got that right! Unfortunately everyone is trying to make them illegal in the film industry so anywhere money is involved from the end products, it's a no-go. Big bummer since they can get some awesome footage of sports that are harder to film like surfing, and some motorsports.
doing some big diggin on your quadcopter footage buddy. i feel surfing footage has for a long time been very limited and quadcopters and even powered paragliding can provide some much needed awesome footage without an imax chopper and budget.
Another nice one man! And I like the idea you used for flotation. I got a guy who wants me to fly around some boats on the ocean, ad I'm just really scared to try again. I know what those floating things are, but what are they called?
Nice work, Jared. We lived in Ventura in the early and mid-60s just as surfing was taking off. It looks like your footage was north of there, maybe around Carpenteria? I almost hate that you show how nice the "O" state is. I'm a native, and I guess the secret is long out. Sigh.
Great shots, nice and low. No gimbal gives it a look too. I'm glad that I'm part of the new age of photography too. I just posted a RC car and UAV video. Please check it out. Think u will like..... Thanks bd

Not bad for a #quadcopter for sure. This week I test out a prototype #hexcopter with a self leveling gimbal. Pretty excited about it.
Won't lie, my heart was racing on a few occasion while filming and flying the #surfers with the #quadcopter.
Yes, I was thinking the same thing when I made the Bullet Train PPG Video with Ric. You going to volunteer?
Very cool! I'm amazed at how smooth the shots are! Keep up the great work!

Let's see a shot where the quadcopter flies over the flattop cage, between the riser lines and under the wing. That would be awesome!

Welcome to the New Age of Surfing in California - All Aerial Video shot with XP2 Quadcopter
The further north you go, the thicker the wetsuits gets for sure. Some day I'll have to hit South Africa for I know there is plenty to enjoy there.

Ha! If I cold only trust all of my gear. I NEVER crash. Gear/battery/fpv failure is what always brings me down.

Great video, I loved the music choice
That is some great footage!
Glad to hear it's not just on my end... :)
Oh and quite being scared. You just have to quit landing in water.
You can buy the XP2 #quadcopter @XProHeli starting at $2399
wow you got to be steady on your fingers to not crash in the water.
Nice music, nice video
