This was my favorite episode in the series so far. The music was hitting, it was exciting, it was tense. Jod shows his full mastery of manipulation, and like, you want to trust him again, but you also still can’t tell if he genuinely means well but is misguided or if he’s plotting an evil scheme.
They made the whole plot of this show rest on a space-shanty. I’m living for the pirate vibes of this show. I love pirates. I love space pirates. And honestly this show makes the space pirates feel like actual earth pirates and it’s super neat.
And they explained and explored KB, finally showing us what exactly she is and doing it in a way that I’m sure lots of kids who grow up with medical conditions or disabilities can relate too. What I found cool about it was, yes, obviously we’ve seen cyborgs in Star Wars, we know they exist. Characters like Vader and Grevious are more robot than human though, and it’s a metaphor for their evil or literal loss of humanity or whatever. But this is one of the first times we’ve gotten what it’s like for a humanoid with cybernetic implants to exist in this universe. They exist, there’s characters like Lobot and stuff, Luke and Anakin have robot hands, technically. But most of the time characters have cybernetic implants just for the design or aesthetic of it, or because it’s cool.
This is the first time I can remember that we’ve really seen what it’s like for such a big portion of people of the galaxy, and to see a kid have to go through that, adjusting to living a life where she can’t do the things the other kids can or the things she used to anymore, and facing the threat of “shutting down”
Idk, I just thought it was cool to finally see that explored. Yea some of the kids drama was a little cheesy, but I also thought it was sincere. That’s what it feels like to be on the play ground and have these childhood friendships when you’re at that age, still learning deeper communication skills and learning how to listen to each other.
Also all the skills the kids had learned from Jod came back this episode, every member had something unique to do, and the big red button that was a joke before came back and actually had a use
Chekov’s big red hull self destruct button
Maybe I’ll look back and see some weird timing and writing flaws of this episode, I completely missed why the x-wings were there or how they got there, maybe it was mentioned in the last episode or will be explained in the next one, idk.
I think this was the best episode so far and it really took this show from fun and enjoyable to exciting and great.

Yeah, I agree. The X-Wings were a great touch. It feels like before this show came out. The Mandalorian Season 2, Tales of the Jedi, Ahsoka, The Bad Batch came out

This episode was awsome ( however shorter than others), the story in was lovely, the interpretation by the children got my attention beggining until the end.
If the last episode was about Jod's development, This time all 04 children did a team , specially the K.B. development, to me was a impressive interpretation by herself, known more about her feelings and her ideas about Fern's tought about her.
And the actions scenes in the last part ( awsome the way they were runway )
The giant crab; the spaceships destroyer; the new spaceship by them; the way each one coordenate the spaceship command.
Really ,skeleton crew its a great surprise in the star Wars universe.
