Great review as always Chris. This is a phone I'd never use but still watched the whole thing haha. Yeah pretty weird theres no ultra wide camera. The video resolution cap is due to the processor. Good budget option for sure however
Around a year ago I bought locally the infinix Hot 20 5G. I bought a terabyte memory card soon afterwards for the phone, because it is so good. It cost me 139.95 euro. It is the best value Google-Android phone I have ever had. I also use it with my SDR dongle as a full-band radio receiver. Infinix offer amazing value. I live in Europe (Estonia).

I have the infinix note 30 VIP and IMHO is the most underated phone. It has a 1) dedicated microSD reader with a 2) flagship cpu near 600k antutu, can't find triple slot with good cpu nowadays. The 3) fast 4) wireless charging is also a nice bonus. Not to mention 5)12gb RAM, 50% more than the competition, nothing comes close in terms of value for $. Oh did I mention it has a 6) 68w wired fast charging and 7) reverse charging capabilities? It even has 8) VOLTE on 9) both sim slots. The list goes on and on 😁 10)Has bypass charging, 11) Front flash camera
not a fan of those chrome style reflective plastic, i remember those old days which that kind of plastic becomes ugly the older it becomes from use and scratches or this are something new ?

Some have good specs,but as we know specs are sometimes different than real world use. But for the moment Im still fine with my Redmi Note 10 Pro,had it for a little over 2 years now and still going fine. Overall it seems more than capable unless you are a budding David Bailey/Spielberg or need the very highest end gaming. It puts many a big manufacturer to shame with keeping very useful options like the MicroSD card. It does look as it this is rather specific to the Indian/African market though, so was unable to get a price to make a reasonable comparison with what else is on offer with this SOC and specs. I am guessing hat this is another one without video over USB-C though, which smaller manufacturers are missing a marketing opportunity, for, with the big names only doing so with higher end models.

MicroSD and 3.5mm in a cheap phone and the flagships drop it, crazy. Yeah I can see how it triggers a bit of OCD.

Yes odd the lack of ultrawide but overall for a budget phone it's not bad better than some of the Redmi or Poco phones.

The chrome style will defiantly chip and scratch if dropped not exactly hard wearing at all.

I've used infinix for about a decade. I can say they hold up well over time. I know about a dozen other users too.
Good to know as they are new for me, but Xiaomi for example I've been using since the Mi 2S and Samsung before that...
