Kimi no Na Wa OST - Sparkle [piano] [Theishter]

- Is it really happening? I can't believe that I actually managed to record "Sparkle". Believe it or not, at first I planned to make the video of it in September... of 2017. However, after a couple of weeks of reading through the sheet, I had to give up. The jumps were too large, and the arpeggios were too fast for me to handle back then. It was an utter defeat, and I went into youtube hiatus for 9 months after that, trying out different new pieces and failing to record every one of them.
And now, practicing Sparkle for the most of Semptember-November of this year, I was almost willing to give up my announced Kimi no Na Wa series, because the potential recording process of those pieces genuinely terrified me. They're all 6 minutes long, with the most difficult parts near the end, and with my standards of quality it seemed almost impossible to make passable takes. I was very close to postponing those pieces indefinitely, without clear idea if I ever return to them in the future.
But a couple of days ago, I changed my mind. I decided to keep my word, and actually for once record something I had previously announced. And I'm genuinely happy about it - the constant procrastination during these months was upsetting me more and more.
Anyway, I feel very satisfied and accomplished about this upload (there are still some tiny mistakes and imperfections, but I managed to cover some of them up with slight MIDI editing - you won't notice them unless you look very closely haha).

I somehow lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Miguel Bo Instablaster :)
Boy, you played so cool! It's so hard to recognize it's not Theishter without watching the video. Good job! You really deserve his like.
I love the cover. Playing B, C# and F# must’ve been annoying to hear over and over again during practice, I appreciate the amount of work and effort put into this cover
this vid is underrated
英語の人が多い中敢えて日本語で演奏が上手くて気持ちよく聴けましたありがとう。
This was awesome, you should be very proud as I understand playing well is one thing, but recording is another! I’d like to play Sparkle one day too, but I’m far from it... Keep it up man, glad I found your channel, we have a similar taste in playing OSTs :D

Iam practicing this song too on on my piano, it is really hard, but you played it perfect, Very Good....
Nice!
I don't know if you had noticed it, but this video is on Theishter favourite videos. Also very good performance, congrats!
PD: Garritan sounds very good.
Wow, didn't know that particular detail, thanks for telling! I got overwhelmingly positive feedback from him on discord though when I linked him the video
@@maDwaZz That's cool man!
your playing is awesome i want to be like you someday, thank you!
i want to learn your technics, give me some advice in my stage of playing piano,.
Tackling this masterpiece now... any tips for the left hand melody in the beginning ?
Time every melody note very well with the right hand pattern, be mindful that there 2 voices in left hand (the melody and the bass), play the melody line a bit louder... and just practice until it becomes completely comfortable to handle. If you don't have a necessary level of finger independence, playing some Bach pieces (mostly Inventions) might help.
👏👏👏👏
Have you seen SPARKLE by Zeyun?
fucking satisfying man great job
What piano do you have great sir
amazing play. which part was ur hardest to play?
The 3-hand tecnique at 1:17 is quite tough, also the final arpeggio runs at 5:00 took many months to smooth out.
Hey nice cover, I am also planning to learn this. May I ask what is the settings for your CFX concert grand VST? Thanks
Here's an example of my settings from another video: imgur.com/a/5BLoSAj
Thanks!!! It is much appreciated
I hope there's a tutorial on this
Any tips on learning this piece? I just started learning it :3
To be honest, nothing particular, I just powered through it over the course of 14 months and gradually got better at all the techniques that are required for this piece
This cover is so good :o and, Do you have any tips for a aspiring pianist?
Practice things that are a bit above your current level, and be patient, it's all about long-term progress :D
Oooh thanks for the tip 😃😃 Hopefully I could reach your level after a lot of practice. Keep it up!
Is This Rival110 mouse ?
a friend gifted this to me recently and it's great for gaming 💞
what?
Man the left hand pinky jumps at 2:38 are really hard for me. idk if you will see this but do you have any tips on this?
It's just muscle memory. Keep practicing, and at some point you'll start hitting the right notes more and more
How much time did you take to learn the whole song?? And how much time it's been since you've been playing the piano
Around 14 months for this arrangement. I've been playing for 9 years in general
do you recommend your piano ? sounds very good to me
The reason of such a good sound is because he used a very expensive vst called Garritan CFX which needs 140 go of your hard drive.
@@williamren7396 ok thx :D
What?? We have the same piano, but it sounds different, how did you do it?
He's using a VST it says in the description.
i do play piano too but i think i dont have any talent for that. but i dont care, i believe that as long as i keep practicing hard, i will be able to reach your or maybe theishter's level. but yeah, maybe someday in the distant future ... maybe.
Talent just affects how fast you improve. This year I came to a soul-crushing and humbling realization that I'm not that talented myself, because it's been 5 years since I started practicing seriously, but now I'm nowhere near skill-wise where I expected to be by that time...
But it doesn't mean that we should stop! Let's just keep going and enjoy the journey, and sooner or later we'll achieve our goals.
@@maDwaZz thanks for the kind words, senpaiii:))
How long will it take for an absolute beginner to learn this? 😅
It will most likely take several years to build proper technique for this one, I would recommend starting with something easier
Thank you! I'll get started on it! :D
@@annapotpot To encourage yourself to learn piano, why don't you try playing moonlight by Beethoven. It is fairly simple yet elegant enough to make you proud of your skills. I hope it helps :)
How Long did u take to play this piece?
This one - 14 months
i wish i could play piano someday
So fucking GOODDDDDDDDDD
That's so hard to play.My left hand isn't cooperating with my right hand.I really want to learn that song but I can't play it
Just keep practicing, you'll get there sooner or later! I've been struggling with some Animenz arrangements for 6 years already, and I'll most likely need another 2 or 3 years to master them.
Bloom into you op
