Dear Dr. Fung, thank you for this video, and the others, it was super clear and helpful, perfect, and very easy to understand, and it works 🥰 ¡¡¡Thank you so much!!!
Hi Dr. Fung, first of all I would like to thank you for such an insightful instruction video, I'm really grateful. I actually encountered some issues while constructing further analysis on the truth table. As shown in the video at minute 8:37, a small window of intermediate solution will pop up once you click onto the Standard analysis button, yet when I did the same thing it did not happen. Instead a new large window popped up in which I can see several configurations shown but not classified into three groups of resolutions (e.i. parsinomous,...). I could not adjust that window either, but all the steps ahead have already been conducted successfully so I have no clue what kind of issue I'm bumping into.
Very Nice Dr. Fung. I have one problem, when I run the fsqca, software only generates the complex solution and parsimonious solution not Intermediate solution. What could be the reason for it, Please help me. I am using the 7 point Likert Scale.
Hi Dr. Fung, when doing the calibration some researchers suggested to use 1 at full membership, 3 at cross over point and 1 at the non membership. Can use these numbers to calibrate as well ?or do i have to calculate the max, min and median value for each construct ? mant thanks !
Hi, can you help me to understand it more. so, i use 5 likert point as well... my data like 1-2-3-4-5,, so with that raw data, i need to calculate to have max min mean, or i need to change my 1-2-3-4-5 data to something else ? i see your 5 likert data, with comma (ex : 4,32) like that, so what you do with your data before calibrate it ? thank you.. can you please answer me, i need your help pleasee
The book by Ragin (2008) provides some explanation about the calibration process. Since you intend to use 0.33, 0.67, you could use, for each variable, the Quartile 2 and 4 as the threshold. These are just suggestions. Best if you could look for some literature to support your basis. There are no universal standards but supported basis. Hope these help.

Glad it was helpful!
Dr. Could you give us the trainning data you work for pratical? Thank you sir a lot

You are most welcome.

could you make a tutorial on 2-step fsQCA analysis?
Thank you, Dr. For this explanation. I would like to know the name of the software that you use.
FsQCA software. You can Google it.
thanks Dr Fung
Hi I used 4 point scale in my data 0, 0.33, 0.67 and 1....now pls tell me in software how I calibrate it ...I mean N1,n2,n3 values would be what...??
