Kinski owes Herzog his career as he just played secondary roles and although Kinski & Herzog made five colaborations together, they both intended to m*rder each other. Regarding Kinski, he was known for being a difficult actor to work with, and if we take him to the present, Klaus Kinski would be probably cancelled today

He was supposed to portray Toht in Raiders of the lost ark. He called the script "Shit". I have a hard time imagining HIM, along with Tom Selleck in Raiders of the lost ark.

I have no difficulty imagining Selleck as Indiana Jones. He probably would have been better than Ford.

Fun Fact: In the movie 'Crawlspace' the wanted Klaus to play a nazi but they found him too young for being WWII and now at that age.. Therefore he played the son of a nazi. In real life Klaus was in the German army in 1943 in the 'wehrmacht'. At that time he was 17 years old. He was captured in The Netherlands in 1944 and put in a British camp.

So he claimed. Kinski was a schizophrenic that abused his daughters. Who knows what he said was true or false.
