Faced same issue with my Alcazar. Had to do a long drive of 25-30mins at 1500-2000 rpm, 50-60kmph constant speed. Next day the DPF warning had gone. Nothing to worry about it.
True facts sir. People should know about these things before buying a BS6 diesel. Driven 27k KM on my diesel Seltos. 60-40% (highway - city) run. 160km every day run. Hence didn't faced any DPF issue till now. Had one time issue when check engine light came but not the DPF one. S.A told it was dust particulate issue in exhaust and got it burnt at service center only.. Didn't had to run on highway. People who are buying diesel for city mostly should consider these points and be a bit careful towards this.. With increasing emission restrictions cars are getting more and more sensitive hence a lot more care is required than usual
Mere bhai ek aur baat bata dun mere paas bmw x1 2015 diesel hai muje ye issue 125000 pe aaya as I live in Australia. But aap agency main Jake software se passive regeneration sirf 3 ya 4 baar hi karva skte hu. Uske baad dpf ke filters jal jaate hai due to intense heat and you have to change tu better hai aap active regeneration pe jada focus karo highway pe trip karo around 80 or 90 km once in a 2 week kabhi problem nhi aayegi.
I have nexon xza+ diesel since 1yr.. driven 14k kms till now.. got DPF icon in dashboard.. as said in video I drove it above 2k rpm for few minutes in 3rd gear and issue resolved by itself

38000 km with BS6 Harrier..... Touchwood never seen the DPF regeneration light . You have very nicely explained the regeneration process with dos n don'ts 👌
For amt users, they can put the vehicle on sports mode and the amt on manual mode and then drive on an empty stretch of road at 60 kmph at 3000 RPM. The sports mode will hold the gear in 3rd and the AMT won't up shift.
Many DPF issues , my friend's venue n creta started having this issues after 12000 km. I don't know if I should buy a bs6 car. Thinking of buying a used pre bs6 models.

No DPF issue, even if it comes, have to drive for 15 mins at higher rpm. No turbo petrol engine can match torque of diesel. For Fun to drive experience, compact SUVs and above, should go for diesel if one budget allows, even in monthly driving kms is less. Have Nexon, got dpf warning at approximate 5k kms, just drove it for 15 mins in Highway and the light went off. Currently odo at 11000 kms, no DPF since the first one
You haven’t driven Polo GT then. It’s a beast on highway. Also, an enthusiast would never go for a compact SUV because of its higher ground clearance. They understeer and has a lot of body roll.

@@tuhindas4550 EV doesn't have charging stations in hills, CNG vehicles doesn't have CNG pumps, Diesel vehicles face DPF issues, petrol is expensive, less mileageand doesn't have torque like Diesel engine. Best way to enjoy hills is to buy binoculars and watch from distance.
If u r using in hills then there wont be a dpf issue for sure, the heat will burn the particles. Also hills riding will take more than 2k rpm for sure and 60KM speed is optional. Just need the engine to emit heat smoke.

From our experience of Altroz Diesel using eco mode is a problem. Got dpf clog on 10k km. Service light, check engine lamp, dpf light popped up and car went to limp mode. Service center changed oil under warranty and it was due to change in vicosity and made sensors clog. Now issues are cleared.
I own Nexon XZA+ Diesel from Sept 2021. Till now i have driven 3500kms. No DPF issue so far. My run is 50% city and 50% highway. But yes, if you are buying Diesel and driving in city get ready to face DPF regeneration.

I am facing the same issue (DPF) Unfortunately, this aspect is never explained by SALES personnel of auto dealers ( its not fare ) i belong to cold area in Himalayas and avoid frequent drives and that too not rash one. Petrol would have been better choice but i like torquey vehicles and there was nothing to beat SONET DIESEL but now repenting the decision due to this DPF issue..... HOW to sensatise Auto dealers !!!!
DPF issue is mostly in NEXON automatic, check with service centre about the park regeneration option. If you don’t get a resolution, please tweet this issue

Petrol approx 8 rs per Km and diesel 5 rs per km, at least 3 rs difference per km. 100 per day, 3000 km per month, you may save 9k approx in a month. But do calculate how much extra you pay in comparison to a petrol car and make a decision
So, if one is living in Himachal in high terrain where to remain on 50-60km speed for 20-30km is not possible & more or less lower gears are only used so what is the prospect for them in BS6 Diesel in respect to DPF..
Bs6 diesel is not available everywhere..after delivery on 5 November 2021 I go to fill fuel on 4 fuel station they don't have bs6 diesel..but after that on 5th fuel station bs6 diesel was available
It's available everywhere now a days Brother .... BS4 fuel is not getting produced anymore. A lotnof fuel station workers don't know about it but when you talk to the manager, he will let you know 👍

Monthly once wil have to travel long n high way . .rest all days city ride strictly.. around 500-800 kms city and so once a month can it be managed by traveling through highway is enough??
what if suzuki also starts producing safe cars??? Look as a fan of tata I advice to make ads better and also improve your engine and durability of parts. Once suzuki starts making safe cars you won't have anything to compete.
Mai January me apni sonet liya hu abhi tak 18000 km chal chuki hai .lekin dpf ka kbhi koi problem nhi aaya .koi sin bhi instrument cluster me nhi aaya .I happy with sonet 😊
only tata doesn't not have that problem all bs 6 which have dpf. unnecessary don't blame tata only. we need to encourage our Indian company not to discourage

In Harrier. DPF is taken care by Adblu DPF sensor isn't there. DPF is only there in 1500 CC or less capacity diesel engine. Harrier is 2000 CC

Clogged DPF doesn't depends on gear, it depends on RPM. in local running if u drive in 2nd gear at 2.5 k RPM then DPF will not be clogged

Monthly Running 1000-1200 km hai, City highway running is in 80:20 ratio. Which car will be suitable Petrol/Diesel or CNG.

DPF issues usually new come in vehicles running in hills because the engine RPMs are pretty high.

DPF May be a big headache , I did not face any issue but a lot of people are suffering from frequent DOF issue and no permanent resolution

Finally after burning these particles we leave them in the environment only, then why that filter is required in between?

If your runs mostly in city with less than 20 Kmph, you may get DPF every 5k plus Km
And it’s frustrating for sure 😂
The point is service centre won't touch your car or check it deeply unntill ur free service get's over..

Bs6 diesel is not available everywhere..after delivery on 5 November 2021 I go to fill fuel on 4 fuel station they don't have bs6 diesel..but after that on 5th fuel station bs6 diesel was available
It's available everywhere now a days Brother .... BS4 fuel is not getting produced anymore.
A lotnof fuel station workers don't know about it but when you talk to the manager, he will let you know 👍

Nope, generally engines more than 1.5 need adblue

I am planning to book diesel variant mainly for high torque n fun to drive . Monthly once wil have to travel long n high way . .rest all days city ride strictly.. around 500-800 kms city and so once a month can it be managed by traveling through highway is enough??
I have driven 25 k xm diesel. Never came across dpf issue

what if suzuki also starts producing safe cars??? Look as a fan of tata I advice to make ads better and also improve your engine and durability of parts. Once suzuki starts making safe cars you won't have anything to compete.
Once they build , their mileage will get reduced. This is the factor most of people choosing maruti
