Carlos ran after Lidia, but Francisco had the bravery to wait for her, even if it was hard for him. Francisco sacrificed his own life for Lidia’s daughter, while Carlos, the girl’s real father gave up and was even envolved in her disappearance... Huge difference of Love

this is completely amazing! thank you for this edit. they’re meant for each other!!!! and that’s on period. no one can tell me other wise! carlos did her so many times bad but francisco NEVER really treated her bad!! they are meant for each other and they had a past and have a future as well i love them sm and still crying over them #teamfrancisco forever
Also francisco deserved WAY MORE screentime in season 5 part 1!!!

My heart can’t still comprehend their endgame! Those two where my favorite couple of all time, and I’m still heartbroken 😭
I binged the whole show in a week and I’m obsessed with it. I was team Carlos from the beginning but after seeing the last few seasons I hated how he acted. I really loved the complexity of Carlos’ character and it’s sad to see how they made him the last few seasons and his end. I’m starting to like Fransico more and more. It still just feels a little off because I do feel like she always chose Carlos over fransico then she ran off with fransico abruptly it seemed and just completely left Carlos. I get that she was hurt but it didn’t seem like Lidia considering how much she loved Carlos
Jenna Powers yeah true.. but she always trusted Carlos with her heart . And he would always lie to her about the most important things that as a couple it shouldn’t been kept from. Lidia learned that she loved her daughter more then Francisco and Carlos but she had to also choose between a boy and a man.. Carlos feelings got in the way ... it got so bad that he made a choice to not see his daughter anymore because of his childish feelings. Lidia had been confused for a while and and as time came along.. she made a honest choice by falling for Francisco because .. he made rational decision for her and even for a child that was not his .. and the thing about carlos was his mother.. she could easily manipulate him because he was still that baby that was never cared for soo yes her choice was a little sad but Carlos had a choice too and it was to man up.
Me too! I only watched the show because of Yon, so Francisco was my favorite. But I thill thought Lidia loved Carlos more, and I didn't like how she kept leaving him for Francisco and then bouncing back to Carlos. Like girl, Francisco stepped back and put aside his own feelings to make you happy TWICE and you're still not going to commit to one guy? I felt bad for Carlos. He did a lot of nice things to her, and I know he lied at times, but she wasn't exactly great either by constantly changing who she loved. At some point I'm confused on why he even tried. She could love him and agree to marry him and then a few weeks later decide she loved Francisco.
I think the writers wanted the love triangle for too long, and it ended up damaging the characters. In season 1, Lidia and Carlos seemed perfectly happy, and even Francisco was going to support them. I wish they had stayed together. It made Francisco's sacrifices and his brotherhood with Carlos seem cheap and made Lidia look REALLY bad in my eyes. If a woman was dating a guy who would constantly bounce from one woman to another, I'd be advocating for her to have some self love and find someone better. Carlos didn't deserve that.
TBH Francisco deserves better! Lidia literally put him through so much even from the start

I hate it when she was with Carlos, she feels for Fransisco and once she was with Fransisco, she kept thinking of Carlos.. And once Fransisco and Lidia finally got together, war happened. They barely have a romantic scene together. 😆 I am just so hopeless. #TeamFransisco. He is the best man. He deserves better.

I ship this couple but Lidia really broke Francisco’s heart a bunch of times and he still let her be with him, I am in love with him. I wish Lidia would’ve stayed alive for a happy ending, the Spanish war was one of the saddest parts of the show. Heart broken but still obsessed with the show, wish I could stop crying over this already
