Your answer for the mushrooms in the tomato plant was perfect! Recently, I bought a small greenhouse to protect my plants from the animals. Because of your answer is leading me to think that my green house is keeping too much moisture for my tomato plant. I also bought the same brand of potting mix 😂 I also got answers to questions that I didn’t have, but find very useful. Thank you so much!
Through this educational video, it will surely help all gardeners who encountered problems and have lots of questions that remain unanswered. However, this post is really a big help for us and I will never hesitate to share this ideas to all my buddies!
How often do you rotate your crops? If one does not have the room to rotate crops,is amending the soil with Azomite, Glacier Rock Dust, Cottonseed Meal, Kelp Meal, Bonemeal, Garden Lime, compost and worm castings enough to grow same crop or in the same family (like garlic/onions or beans/peas) o.k.? I found it very beneficial growing perennials and companion planting among my vegetable gardens.Tons of bees. Beautiful flowers, herbs & vegetables feeds ones soul and body. HAPPY GARDENING! Lark
We have been getting a lot of rain lately and I recently noticed mushroom growth. I haven’t physically water my garden on almost 2 weeks. I think it’s the rain. Whatever rain is always good 👍🏽
here's several tips worth trying select the top type - there are lots available. grow them in the best conditions - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid areas and may be placed outdoors (I discovered these and why they work from Gregs Mushroom Grower website )
I planted some seeds indoors for the winter using bagged potting soil - and I got i little mushroom... It won't do any damage and in a couple days it died...
A meter is a little bigger than three feet. So you can figure it out like that. So she could plant 9 plants in the meter square bed according to the square-foot gardening idea.
Hi John. I live in Pittsburg, not far from you. I planted broccoli raab two weeks ago and only two germinated. Is it too cold now? Is it too late to start some indoors and plant outside?
Where are you living in CA. I’m in the High Desert of Palmdale. Wondering if your climate is as dry as mine. Getting ready to start growing mushrooms, but really concerned that I can’t create the humidity and temperature required for success. It’s June 26 and my daily temps have risen to 95-100 and will stay there until Oct. Humidity is in the low teens after I water my organic garden. I need humidity and light once I put the mycelium into the substrate. Plan on using clear plastic tubs with 2” holes filled with polyfill. with daily misting and fresh air induction, but I would love to grow them how I do on my little farm on Maui where I just put them in my garden’s wood chips that I use for mulching on top of my composted cow manure. I get tons of blooms outside, but this is the first time trying in the desert.
I wonder if the pot has anything to do with the mushrooms. I have one in one of those clay looking plastic pots and it is the only one that has the mushrooms out of like 40 plants.
First you have changed my life for the better. Thank you!!! I just saw a vid about that micronized azomite used as a foliar feed. I would love to hear your thoughts before I go out looking for some. Thanks again!!!!
Vegetarian or Omnivore, in my opinion whatever one's diet, A person may not be doing it the best way possible. For me, eating a diet (if you want to eat meat or not) that eliminates processed foods and that focuses on WHOLE foods found in nature and eating high nutrient dense food and doing diet rotation (eat a wide variety each day) is what I strive to do. Unfortunately most people Vegetarian or not do not do this, and thus may not look/be as healthy as possible..
A good friend of mine lives in the city of Baltimore and could like to grow some food in her small backyard, but cannot due to rats. I can't remember exact details, but that she didn't think feral cats would work out well and, being in the middle of a city, an "owl box" probably wouldn't attract any owls. Any other suggestions? Perhaps some type of fencing for whatever she plants? (Or would rats just find a way around any barriers?)
Yeah its easy enough to google but its a common question that should be answered because a lot of people actually believe that protean is only really from meat and getting mad at them and making fun of them for being ignorant does not make them less ignorant does it?
John, Maybe it would be interesting to investigate Sea Crop....... Hope you will find the time ;-)) Especially when you are a fan of rock dust and one day you will be making your own ormus for yourself and your garden.
Not all animal protein is bad, but you must also know this source of your food how how it was raised. You must me a vegetarian or even worse a vegan! -from a Texas beef eater!
Cows get a lot of their protein from the organisms that live in their gut (rumen). Those organisms digest the plant material for the cattle - m any of those are microcopic animals - which in turn are digested by the cattle. Neat the way nature works, eh? Of course plants contain some protein, but not all protein is the same. Certain essential amino acids are difficult to find in plants. Humans evaolved to be omnivors, but what you eat is a personal choice. Bon appetit!
I'm a vegetarian and I'm not sickly or has translucent skin. 90% of the world has to turn vegetarian in under 40 years anyways. I'm a 200 lb. 6 foot 2 and I look just fine, and I feel just fine.
Thanks for the info on strange questions! A lot of people unhappy with the protein question Why? Everyone just eat a varied diet, animal protein is not bad for you. Only if you eat it all the time and too much! We are eating Swiss chard, kale, Chinese cabbage, and zucchini right now down in Texas! Great videos! Check out our videos when you have a chance!
live on an organic dairy farm, and they eat grass, bails, and dried seaweed for nutrients. :D But that's because we're organic. Don't know about other farms.
So your saying its easier for our body to take protein from another animals body and break that down into amino acids so we can make our own protein. Instead of using amino acids found in plant foods that our body actually recognizes and can use to build quality protein structures. It takes more energy to digest protein than amino acids think about it
Super Size Me was about 50% B.S. It was entertaining but not completely factual. A much better but less slick movie on nutrition and obesity is Fat Head. You can find most if not all of it right here on RUclips.
BTW - the FDA says you have not inherient right to choose what you eat. Unbelievable, but sadly true. Don't worry, though - in the US the PEOPLE grant certains powers (rights, sort of) to the gov't - NOT the other way around. Your rights - use it or loose it. The only presidental candidate for food freedom? For restoring your right to choose what you put in your body? Yup, you guessed it -Ron Paul.
Anyone that EVER eats fast food...even if its only once in a great while...I recommend they read Fast Food Nation...I haven't felt right eating a cheeseburger since...I don't even cook them at home for myself...some of the stuff you read in that book are absolutely disgusting. The FDA is not looking out for your health, they're looking out for their own pockets. After a quick skimming lookover of Fast Food Nation, I guarantee even fast food enthusiasts will never eat fast food again.
You missed my point. If you can not eat freshly killed meat raw then you are not an omnivore. Originally people ate fruit and leafy greens. Meat did not enter the picture until people started migrating to colder climates where there wasn't plant foods as available in winter etc., to their detriment.
I think your logic is flawed. Because we cannot eat rotten food does not mean we cannot eat cooked food. For centuries after humans stopped being hunter-gatherers and instead farmed archeology shows their skeletons were smaller and more sickly. Also because of the over-population farming allowed it provoked real war and social specialization leading to the majority of people being servants of the upper classes. I don't think there were total vegetarian hunter/gatherers ever.
There are definitely unhealthy vegetarians - I know of at least one vegetarian who actually does not like vegetables (yech, greens) but loves candy. She's also taught her two kids that way of eating and it's very unhealthy.
I agree that farm animals should be raised humanely, without hormones, GMO, antibiotics ,etc, but saying that meat is bad for you is ridiculous. Human beings are omnivores. If you look in nature lots of animals eat from dead carcasses that have been lying for hours in the sun with flies on them. When we did eat a lot of vegetables it was not farmed vegetables, it was like organic farming to the tenth power, and we got a lot of exercies as hunter-gatherers ... remember hunter!
justgivemethetruth common fallacy, but fallacy none the same, most of our evolution is as plant eaters and this is why people are healthier as they eat less animal products.
are you sure you're not confusing someone with bolemia (a.k.a. anorexia nervulsa?) who happens to be vegan?!?! they may just have an eating disorder and need help? think outside the box :) because the box is crowded
Starts talking about mushroom question 9:05
thank you!!!!
Wow! You saved me a lot of time. Lol

WHOAH MAN I came here for mushrooms and you're talking about mcdonalds
Mushroom question and answer starts 8:55
When vegetables are paired with whole grains,a complete protein is formed. Great videos!

1 square meter is used as 4X4 square foot garden bed although it is not the exact same size it generally works
here's several tips worth trying
select the top type - there are lots available.
grow them in the best conditions - some such as oyster muchrooms like cool humid areas and may be placed outdoors

either way we have to make our own protein it all depends if we need to break something down first or just use what is available
To go tebublic
Thanks dude..
1:23 Hmmm. Gotta look that one up.

sprouts are a good source of protein and also tasty :)

what can you grow in the fall ?
Hi John, can you grow edible mushrooms in your home in Las Vegas?
Thank John I might over water my tomatoe I got tiny mushroom growing too.

beans and corm make protein also beans or corn with milk.

tomatoes hate me, they never do well for us at all but i have a lone thyme plant thats doing superb
Oh your right i didn't sorry. but from what I have personally read its better to have an abundance of amino acids than proteins.
Maybe its time for a 720 or 1080p camera... I dunno. Would be nice.
You need sunglasses boy!

ball valves aren't the best for throttling, gate valves are better. stop valves, not so much for throttling either

Being vegetarian or vegan does not at all mean healthy. You can be a vegan and eat stricly Oreo's (do you have that in the states).
vegetarians dont understand how to eat without consuming meat proteins ---signed g. bush jr’s speech writer.
where's the part about the mushrooms? I suggest making shorter videos.
There is also a video called Fat Head, if you're going to quote Super Size Me, you should mention it was debunked in the other video.
complete protein
