Wow, you can really tell Peter Furler's either tired at this particular point, or he's beginning to lose his vocal abilities. He was flat on "Million Pieces." However, on "Entertaining Angels," Phil's lead vocals and Jody's back-up sounded absolutely amazing. This is by far the best era of Newsboys.
Gunslinger He's probably just tired. I went to one of these tours in April, and his singing voice sounded as stellar as ever. Don't worry, he hasn't lost his touch! Anyway, Newsboys United has gotta be the greatest concert I've ever been to, and I've seen a bunch of great concerts in the past. Those guys are my heroes!
I'm sure he's probably tired. People have no idea how hard singing live is in a band. I would say it's harder than guitar, keyboard or bass, but not harder than a drummer. I have my heroes, too! United is probably the best Newsboys concert out there, except for the one from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
