An out-of-control robot is inadvertently set loose in a small community, and a crack squad of soldiers are sent to hunt it down. Gradually, the members of the squad begin to suspect that some of them are robots.

I always avoided these b movies as a teenager back in the 90s, now as an adult in my 40s i'm seeking them out on youtube. Thanks for the upload.
This kinds of movies always give me a vibe of mystery and obscurity. I seek small details that I believe could have been used as inspiration for bigger films like the masterpiece of the Matrix.

For low budget, this REALLY isn't that bad and has a charm to it and better acting than you'd expect.
Somehow i dont remember this movie but its my type and full of a great cast. I waa born in 1977 so i love these type of flicks. This is a great mid 90s direct to video and cable action flick. Great cast Matthias hues is always great perfect bad guy. Don Swayze over this time was in alot of low budget flicks i always liked him i think 2 of my favorites are death ring and payback don Swayze is great in both. Amanda wyss is in this she is great in tons of great stuff like better off dead and nightmare on elm street lots more. Hey the old drunk doctor from return of the living dead 2 is in this thats cool and clint howard sweet thats a cast. This is a fun action sci fi movie well worth watching. Thanks for the upload crazy i did not know it but i sure do now and will be seeing it again soon.

This makes me smile, i remember i watched this flick in a bus on a long school trip back home, and for some reason the bootleg DVD said this was an Universal Soldier sequel. I distinctly remembered the movie had this weird cgi opening that just looked dated as shit. We all spent the whole trip laughing at the bad sfx, and how over the top the whole thing was. Now several years later im just glad this thing is still available to watch somehow, so thanks man.

This was one of a handful of movies I watched on VHS rental during a 2 year time frame in the '90s when my parents didn't have cable. Nice to finally see it again.
This was pretty good right from the start. Awesome special effects. But the scary thing is that this is no longer sci fi. It's reality.
Finally, Matthias Hues as a nice guy =D Walks here and there, asks people politely, wishes a nice day. Why didn't they cooperate lol

ive been looking for this since i taped it on singaporean TV in 1996. On the label it said "detonation man" and it's only now i can watch the full uncensored version. SWEET
There's a movie with Wesley Snipes called the detonator man now that's a good movie

I like Matthias Hues as a villain, he's bad ass look makes him suit his characters. Btw I was looking for this movie for a long time.

One dude did visual effects, David Wainstain and they were great and pretty original. 18:23 video screen, 19:09 beam weapon not just the standard easy to do straight line beam. Well done.
Also the cannon weapons 19:55 were great. Excellent fire muzzle flash. And they had at least 3 working units instead of just one. Cool.

While it wasn't a great film, it featured many technologies that we see today, like smart weapons tech, blue force tracker and 3-D printing (in the opening sequence).

Low-Budget-Movies back then were masterpieces now they are just terrible.
Rented this out on video many times from my impact store rentals in the UK it is a classic.
The weapons kind of remind of Leaf Blowers LMAO!!! how did they keep a straight face?.
There are some fairly well known actors in this movie.
I think you don't understand the mindset behind low budget movie making. This, like many others, was primarily aimed at the rental and home market. So you throw them out fast and hope that it sticks, if not make the next one. Like everything, this is about making money.

@@jeffbrooks5580 The Langoliers was pretty cool, to be honest. Same as this movie, but I did go with low expectations before. Decent B movies, they are more enjoyable than annoying, as many movies are today.

Decent movie. I expected less thinking it was low budget, and it may have been low budget. If it was, the director did wonders with it. If it was a low budget, just think what Roth could have done if it was large budget movie. Good acting also.

I think this direct-to-video masterpiece was mentioned in a LWPro Magazine article by the (single?) lead animator of the movie. It was done relatively cost effective in Lightwave 4.0.

Anyone else notice how they ripped off the Terminator theme throughout the movie, and the end credits especially.
They used certain well known parts, like the thumping drums, and little pieces of the tune. Though maybe not enough for most to notice.
Listen carefully to the end credits music, and think think Terminator, and you'll notice it🤣
