Nice overview, and thanks for the shout out! I think I had a much bigger gap in my change to the Edna’s because I had the OG Nate’s on my Pugs (4”, 27tpi, wire bead). Those 3.8” Nates are 60tpi and I’m sure much lighter and higher quality. I do love the Edna’s though so far, still need to snow test them, but the larger size should yield a bigger traction patch. The weight and rolling resistance is great considering they are a larger size. Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks for the idea! Yeah, the new Nates are good tires. I do think I like the Ednas a bit better. Feel so much faster. For sure, going to roll with them for the winter and maybe switch back for the summer.
Great clip thanks for sharing!I Have you tried lower PSI for trail? I currently own a few fat bikes 4.0 -4.8 & 10psi is a good road psi, though for trail my Ednas are 6-7psi max. For the 4.8’s 5-6psi offers the best ride....then again i’m not breaking any records, but the grip & control on the single track is amazing, & a great workout to boot. In snow with 4.8 Surly Bud/Lou, or Bud/Bud 3-4psi hits the mark. Keep up the great work, I really enjoyed the breakdown of all the data.👍🏻
The lower PSI wasn't working for me... been experimenting with more like 12-15 on 4.0s (Kenda Juggernauts) for singletrack, and I've been liking that. I was running low single digits on the Ednas in the snow, and agree that the traction was excellent. Thanks for stopping by!
