I heard that each of his background singers can also play 2 instruments. I read on another site that he met her (Mary) walking down the street in Harlem and invited her to the show and gave her tickets She was a perfect stranger to him.

Bruno is deep in the well of R&B's greatest predecessors like: “Bootsy Collins - I'd Rather Be With You (1976).” Maybe that’s why Bootsy named "Silk Sonic" and also narrates the album “An Evening with Silk Sonic” .hmmm! Perhaps we we’ll even hear it one day.😊

The lead backup singer you were referring to is Philip Lawrence. He was Bruno's right-hand man for the past 10+ years. Before he retired from touring after the last 24k Magic Tour (the second round of the same tour lol), he and Bruno wrote all of Bruno's hits and numerous other artists songs together. Phil is a great singer and the way his singing compliments Bruno's is not something to overlook in Bruno's exceptional career.
Btw he was wearing the same pants bc this is the same concert as the Perm live performance you reacted to.

I've seen some of the true greats and he ranks in my top 3 male artist/performers. he's amazing, the greatest of this generation.

Guys, this is from his TV special. Before the concert he and the guys were driving around Harlem and met Mary sitting out on her stoop. How nice that he got her a box seat and sang to her!

If you watch the entire show he went to different neighborhoods in New York and gave out tickets. He met her and gave her tickets and sat her in the balcony and then that happened. That was so sweet.

ummm no. what are you talking about? that's not mary wilson (rip). stop it. the dvd for this made for tv special is available (also emmy nominated, bruno was an executive producer). go watch it for full content before commenting. plus diana ross was part of the supremes (not her group) until barry gordy had her step out one night (without the others knowledge) as the supposedly "star" then they became known as dr & the supremes. the treatment ms. wilson and many other artists received from gordy is shameful. google, it's really not that hard.
