    Thank you so much for this! Quick question: is college algebra the same as algebra 1 and 2?

    • @MariosMathTutoring
      @MariosMathTutoring  10 месяцев назад

      Depends on the college class…some classes are called college algebra, intermediate algebra, algebra number such and such…some have a few precalc topics in them as well….just depends on the school and the class really but I’d say in general it is similar to what is studied in a high school algebra 1 and 2 class combined.

    So this is why I never understood math…
    I’m on the first equation, the linear equation. You are trying to move all the variable to one side. So you subtract 3x from the right side, but you subtract it from the left as well. Wouldn’t you add it to the left side? I don’t understand the logic

    • @eddiekiller21
      @eddiekiller21 7 месяцев назад

      if you want to move a number like 3x across to the other side of the equal sign, you need to subtract it, so (3x) - (-3x) = 0.
      but you must do the same on the other side in order to keep the equation balanced.
      if you dont do this, you will end up with a completely different equation than what you started with
