Great review. I just got the HR-V sport. I love it. Coming from the 2020 Accord base, this has less power but a much quieter and smoother ride. All is needs is a bit more power to be perfect The Mazda CX -30 is more powerful but still too small and cramped in. The infotainment system (no touchscreen) is horrible. It's also an aging design. Mazda will probably do a refresh next year
I bought one a couple of weeks ago. Put the peddle down and it does indeed get loud. I have to say even though it isn't a muscle car it has been perfectly fine with city and freeway driving with merging and passing. Put it in sport and you can feel the difference staring from a stop. The MPG in city will be under 25 if you hit a lot of red lights without a lot of drive in between. If you don't hit a lot of red lights you'll get over 25 in econ. I'm also 6'5" and it is perfectly fine size for me as driver.
Also, I never had a CVT but was very happy with the smooth ride as far as the transmission. I have no idea how long a modern honda cvt will last. The naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine should be a very long lasting engine.

Great video! Might just be me, but the music was a little loud and kind of distracting during the driving portion.
