- The Baylor University Theatre presents "Fiddler on the Roof."
I am featured on clarinet during the Bottle Dance, performing with a "Klezmer" style. Throughout the cadenza and dance, I use a variety of ornamentation, glissandi, tone-bends, distortion of tone, and growls.
Enjoy!
Loved it..!!
Even a poor tailor is entitled to some happiness. ,💕💕
Wonderful clarinet accompaniment to this great rendition of the bottle-dance scene!
Very Gershwin. When I did the dance we had an amazing drummer and every night crawling on our knees to the front was an orgasm (pardon my language but it's true) 25 years later I still thrill of the thought of it.
Fantastic-first stage performance of this dance I’ve seen. One of my favorite musicals ever! Great job!
That must be one of the most hardest dance's to do.
Preforming at my school as Tevye this week! It is one of the hardest!!!
@@MilesMinard they faked the bottles! they were secured on their hats. You can always tell because they're all at the same angle, and the real give away is at the end. They pulled the bottles off instead of tilting the head forward, letting the bottle fall off and catching it in their hands. FAKE!
@@editprofessor2950 Haha😂 we had the dancers may or may not had a couple magnets in their hats!
@@MilesMinard definitely they did. trust me... I"ve done almost 20 productions and even worked with the original director/choreographer. I've reproduced the original staging and choreography numerous, numerous times. your dancers did not balance the bottles. you can tell when they put the bottles on their heads. It's always a dead give away to anyone who has done it for real. Nice job, but not a true balancing act.
@@editprofessor2950 I agree with you about this performance!👍🏼 But this is not my performance I performed at a totally different thing. It was my school, I had nothing to do with this one besides the fact that I watched this video in excitement over our own show. Haha in our show our dancers had magnets in their hats…it still looked really good though! That’s really cool that you were involved with true balancing acts for this show! I played Tevye a couple months ago at my high school- I love this show.🤠👍🏼
Klezmerska muzyka ,super !
Love it! 💙
I was Fyedka during my schools performance but man did i wanna do this scene
Bravo!
Now, if they could have danced with those bottles UPSIDE-DOWN on their heads, THAT'd be something!
Bloody ace! L chaim ! To life
very cool
I’m actually working on a production of fiddler
Derek is God
what about the lady on the far right? haha she didnt want to dance
Yeah what was she doing on the stage?
Nothing like a Jewish Wedding!!!!
Who did the choreography for this? Is it the original?
I hope not.
Why?
@@damiansagastume6683 this is not the original one, I did the original choreography with some some friends before quarantine and the original had the heels hit the floor on the beat, the dance goes from one bottle to two then four total to dance. A hard dance but a fun one when you succeed.
No
The original is from The fiddler on the roof. A musical.
Spellbinding
Velcro anyone?
😍🙏🏽🍾
There are so many wrong notes in the orchestra
Pipe down
"Quiet down!"
@@DwightKoh93 LOL "Quiet down!" Taken literally
absolutely agree! those glissandos are absolutely HORRIBLE! I don't know who the conductor was, but that was so wrong.
They probably played with the wrong pitched clarinet, it's also a pretty hard piece to play
