"Be less concerned with what the haters say
Cuz they're just haters (they're just haters anyway)"
Hahaha I never expected that line from Casey.
The boy is full of surprises
You'll get used to it~ :v
I guess Im asking randomly but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow lost the password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Reece Hector Instablaster ;)
Best band in the world today - and they have been for a long while.
Agree!
Agree!
Up there with Between the Buried and Me, Haken, and The Contortionist.
My personal favourite is Coheed & Cambria (Claudios' Comics just hits me in the right place) but Dear Hunter is 2nd fo sho- Coheed & Cambria, Dear Hunter, Circa Survive and honourable mention Tubelord.
To any fans of progressive rock spanning almost every other rock genre certainly. Alternative, experimental, orchestral, indie, punk, industrial, and folk elements all can be found in their beautiful and variant albums. They are also my favorite band and have been for a long while
Witness me is the standout to me. Keep dreaming, keep dreaming, keep dreaming
I have a reasonable suspicion that this channel is just Casey Crescenzo uploading this on his own.
This eases the wait for ACT VI
Has a color spectrum feel to it
I am so happy I found this band, so versatile and brilliant productions. If you haven't bought this EP yet then you need to!
CocoOwnzU so glad you discovered the best band (I'm biased being that TDH has been my top for over a decade) in history! You have so much good music to discover ;)
Buy the record, support Casey!
theevenfallprog already did. Waiting on it to be shipped!
Buying the record at the show tonight! Hopefully I can snag a bronze one
I bought a bundle and then purchased it on Itunes. I'm totally in love with this EP!
I love their happy and ubeat songs the most, so Shake Me (Awake) is definitely my favorite.
Interesting - that is my LEAST favorite.
What about the surge of adrenaline in the lyrical recounting of reality through those minor variations and Gavin's synth though?
I have no idea what this means. The song is bland.
Andy Breivik... Funny, I would never use the word bland to describe any of The Dear Hunter's songs. I personally like when they spice their albums up with fluctuations like it, and the style on Shake me Awake reminds me of Yellow's flavor... It's all very good, better than the otherwise mostly mainstream and formulaic...
I definitely like their wide array of styles. But I don't like pop music, and Shake me awake is a pop song.
I didn't think that an EP could be THIS good.
The Hosier EP is pretty good, but this is its only rival
I'm crying in the club right now. I'll definately have to buy this EP for myself !! I've waited so long for it, thank you for uploading !!
girl me too!!!
Anyone here listen to Thank You Scientist?
yeah! they are the perfect complement to TDH, also Bent Knee are amazing...

Who are those people?
@@datemasamune2106 They're characters from The Adventure Zone, a podcast where three brothers and their dad played D&D. Started as a goof, but got really intense. I suppose it is as dorky as it sounds, but it's also an amazing piece of group storytelling. There are a couple trailers on RUclips if you're interested
Came back here in 2021 looking for this discussion.
Yo, this is givin me some serious Reign of Kindo vibes
I've never seen such a pure comments section
The album is the philosophical view on life on if we should look back on our decisions and longing to change things, but we have to accept all things that happen, good and the bad, that all things are as they should be. Sometimes you get it right, sometimes you won’t. Example we’re born and we will die, we can’t change even though we know well in advance of what to expect.
This just made my whole day man!! Love you for this man keep it up with the uploads and such!
it seems like every dear hunter entry takes me a while to love, and this is no different. Many times i hear their album, and find things a touch disjointed, but upon listening to it a few more times, it comes together.
so in liu of that, time to hit repeat.
I'm glad I'm not the only one willing to give interesting music a proper chance, even if it doesn't grab you right away.
Witness Me. Too good. Holy shit.
Thank you for sharing this! Beautiful music! I love this band!
once again another amazing album! they never cease to amaze me
This is truly amazing.
Thank you, this is great!
Excellent - too expensive to ship to the UK at the mo, so good to get a chance to hear, and thanks for the Bandcamp link. My hope is that this upload will result in more sales!
I'm so sad that I haven't listened to this sooner.
This masterpiece just goes to show that if you want to write a song in a particular genre, you would be advised to take as little inspiration from your genre as possible. I remember being outside the brewery next to the Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, speaking to you over a glass of whiskey, and watching tree sloth videos. And you're only evolving. I'm proud of you, keep pushing those musical boundaries.
Cats Cradle in Carbaro...
Band name in and of itself
Not sure if I already commented, but thank you! love this band to the moon and back
But please buy the EP people! Support great music like this
I recommend "Bandcamp" as a service
Iver Vammervold That's how I bought mine
I bought it through iTunes
Iver Vammervold when it comes out for google play i most definitely am
Same. I'm waiting for it to show up on Google.
Amazing again, they never dissapoint :)
Just as good as I expected
From all of us who are temporarily going through hard times financially, thank you so much 😍
18:00 for the greatest vocal melody of all time
holy crap that last song is so good
Wow why isnt this more popular?
the dear hunter is great !
i am so glad i discovered this awesome band
The music video to Blame Paradise is wild.
12 k views. Absolute travesty to the sanctity of real music. TDH, i salute you
Reminds me of his Receiving End of Sirens days. Perfect.
YES!!!
Thanks for sharing, but please, support the artists.
Rafael Ruschel
Fuck you, no.
The OP said in the description that they bought this. I'm only listening here on RUclips because it isn't available on iTunes where I am.
Blame Paradise... I really like the intro, it looks like the style of "hokuto no ken" XD anyway, congratulations, I've known you recently but I've already fallen in love with your style, you have technique and charisma. Molto bravi! XD
This song just fits with all of my feelings. Some happy some sad but overall just great music.
ahh, the adventure zone...
Oh my god I love these songs. I am also fan now ;)
Bought the vinyl, the CD and the digital copy.
Thanks Rocked reviews
Thx
Dude, thank you for this. All the items on their store are sold out. :(
one of the best opening songs to an album ive heard in a lonnng time. fuckng WOW
Witness me is fucking beautiful.
I have just bought this from Bandcamp.com. A bargain for class music. It's just the latest of a series of terrific music coming from these guys, particularly the masterful Casey Crescenzo. I highly recommend their five act (so far) series of albums, starting with, er, Act 1. You can now get Acts 1 to 3 together on CD at long last.
Holy fuck
YAY
Clear and loud form Malaysia 👍👍👍
You are a GOD
you are a god terri
Love
so damn good
First song is called “The Right Wrong” I believe. Otherwise thank you so much for this upload as well as Act V
Keep Dreamin'
Man, I can't listen to this album without crying, smiling, laughing, and wanting to destroy everything, if only to make it better. I get the feeling that each song corresponds to the five fingers and the palm. The final track is obviously the palm, but which tracks do you guys think correspond to the individual fingers?
Blame Paradise has to be the middle finger. Beyond the Pale is probably the ring finger, the Right Wrong is the index, Witness Me is the little finger (that's the side we tend to show on social media), and that leaves Shake me Awake as the thumbs up to all of existence.
Awesome, ty!
Also the first song is called The Right Wrong, not The Right:)
the beggining of the 4th song: shake me awake when they are harmonizing sounds so much like a band i used to listen to called moon safari a swedish band XD
Casey's conceptual continuity across albums is 2nd only to Maynard's. Sorry to hate, heh. TDH's composition has come a long way though. I couldn't help but smile on Beyond the Pale and throughout the rest of the record. I must pay for this!
btw, is Blame Paradise about the interpretations fans publish? ...reminds me of Blame Hoffman, or Life of Brian (Apparently You Haven't Seen). hah, just couldn't resist.
Much like Maynard's, the lessons or stories told seem to be in such a narrative that they should be counterinuitive to the listener's ear. Ironically, intentionally or not, making the listener think for themselves.
It's almost like the title track's content is synonymous with Vicarious' but conveyed in a meta way. Witness Me is somehow synchronous with Reflection in my mind. Maybe I should listen to more music ;)
I don't know, man. Have you listened to Coheed and Cambria?
Coheed and Cambria is amazing. Definitely check them out
For sure man, been a coheed fan since the 2nd stage. I like how they started with the 2nd album and ended with the first. Still, I'd have to put em third on the list.
Beyond the Pale sounds like its straight from Act V
Beyond the pale - Disco Elysium
Guys, leave some talent for the rest of us
This is awesome but I'm bummed it's not on Spotify.
It'll be available on Spotify tomorrow!
You'd better be truthing my heart can't take the disappointment if its not!
It's currently streaming on Bandcamp but their FB says it'll be streaming everywhere the 8th!
So at least that's what everyone is hoping that means at least
I think you're probably right so, thank you internet stranger, for the best news all week.
It's available right now :)
They took this off of spotify for some reason :(
It promotes God and free thought.
Can't buy the record if its sold out.....
CounterOptics I bought a digital copy via bandcamp ;)
theevenfallprog Thanks for the heads up man i bought it. Always feels good to support these guys, because they always put out the most amazing stuff.
Red hands..💚
Listening here till it releases on Google Play.
Been blue-balled for two days now, wtf google play music?
You should buy it on Bandcamp if it isn't too much of a hassle, you can download higher quality files off of bandcamp which you cannot from google play.
I didn't like it that much, It's been difficult to find good prog music these days, Jazz is more appealing to my ears, I'll stick to my old prog bands...
If u like jazz n prog check Haken out, or Nova Collective.
New Cynic is amazing!
i wouldn't consider this as the progressive facet of TDH, the phase of the acts gave The Dear Hunter the label of a post progressive band, however, if you're into old school prog rock, like Soft Machine, National Health, Hatfield and the North (Canterbury Scene) and you expected that kind of stuff, then you're in the wrong place... THD can be more like alternative mixed with a little bit of prog rock and a theatrical style found in rock opera.
This really isn't TDH's normal style. Check out their studio albums too.
Dear Dear Hunter... Running out of mojo are we??
