Some use the original Oculus headsets. I have a 1080ti running mine. If I upgrade to a better GPU, it would help. Just saying. Not all PCVR are created equal. So it’s not really a comparison. There are problems with my Index, but I usually solve most of them by using the bajjilion adjustable knobs and straps they have to customize fit. If it’s blurry, it’s usually because I don’t have my fit correctly adjusted. Once I do, it’s clear as a bell. Now I wish Valve would hurry up and develop the wireless module they said they were working on for the headset. That USB under the glass shield of my headset still isn’t filled up with that module. I’ll add, Index uses a USB 3.0 and Displayport connector to interface with my PC. Most I’ve seen use regular HDMI cables and usb 3.0. There are way too many factors to figure into the equation. Also need to add another caveat. People usually don’t buy the Quest 3 for its wired potential. Many don’t have PCs that could run them effectively. It’s a good alternative. Just using one smaller cable that doesn’t require you to use HDMI ports to be taking up space, but most people who run headsets have enough space anyways. I figured this out when I sent my old Oculus to a friend that wanted it. He didn’t have to ports needed to run the headset. When he did, it barely ran the headset. I didn’t factor that in because I had a PC capable of it. Now with the Index, I have two display ports and two HDMI ports. I have a few USB-Cs as well. More than enough to run my headset and three other monitors if I wanted. But I always got that as an argument, besides price point, about the Quest vs my headset. “At least I don’t need wires to play my VR. Because wires ruin the immersion and are cumbersome.” I always just laughed. Because I knew how it worked. If you wanted to play more demanding games, you’re going to have to drop the $80 needed for that Quest link cable to play them.
The whole purpose of this video was to see if it was an upgrade which it was. I agree with some out of the many things you pointed out, but the quest 2 to quest 3 jump is significant enough to talk about and pcvr is my main so I wanted to see the comparison while running on the same system I was using for my quest 2. Hello, I would like to get some advice from you guys. Currently, I'm building a PC with RTX 3090 ti, i9 12900k, 32gb Ram DDR5, how would it perform in PCVR with most of the recent released titles on Quest 3? After I am done with building my pc, I've thought about buying the Quest 3, this would be the first time I'm jumping into VR. What I'm looking to buy is the Quest 3 128 GB as I would like to use the Quest 3 mainly to play games that I am buying through Steam. I've done some research and tried to find out if it worth it buying a link cable and play games with a wired connection, or wirelessly through virtual desktop. I do not own any Wifi 6 routers and my PC is not wired to the router, as I am always using it through Wi-Fi. Would I be able to play games wirelessly without any issues with those internet speeds on wifi? Download 126.2 Mb/s, Upload 97.1 Mb/s, Ping 13ms, Jitter 0.8ms Also, I would like to mention that I am looking to play games where I have to move a lot like Arizona Sunshine 2, Blade & Sorcery and so on. Would you guys recommend me using a link cable or virtual desktop? Any advice helps, thank you!
Those specs could run just about anything. You will be perfectly fine running anything 60-120fps for VR and flat screen on high settings. The Quest 3 is a beautiful little machine. I use my hotspot for internet because my satellite internet is extremely poor. I use link cable because when using hotspot for air link, there can be some freezing due to ping spikes. But your internet should be fine I would think. I use virtual desktop every now and then but would most likely provide you with an even better experience. Cheers to getting into VR gaming 🎉
Link cable all the way. My internet is too slow for air link/virtual desktop to work properly and when I use my hotspot my screen goes all wonky. So I just stick with the cable.
Just got the game and I plan to pc vr it mostly, what’s the best way to launch the game? So u link then launch steam vr? Also can you go through the game settings u did for the pc vr debug tool etc
I buy most of my pcvr games through the oculus PC software. Most games purchased this way is crossbuy, meaning buy it for pcvr and get standalone edition free (and vice versa) so when I put on my headset, link to oculus, I can just click library and start the game from there. It's much easier and alot more simple than having to run steamvr in the background. Hope this helps and isn't too confusing 😅😂
Link cable. Airlink and virtual desktop has alot of lag spikes due to my poor internet. As far as settings go, I believe I'm running 90hz on PC and 120hz on quest 3 with the in game graphic settings set to go as high as it can go. I don't really tweak the headset settings much aside from the Hz rate.
PCVR as in just using my pc to play vr. I do not own this game on steam nor do i own a rift to tell you the exact experiences of how that works but what i can say, for the most part, is that it is all pretty much all the same.
I haven't seen it on standalone since that wipe that you see in this video. My opinion is yes. Am I 100% correct though? Not entirely sure but it is safe to say that i haven't experienced it in a while nor has anyone else from my understanding. Should be good to go!
I was not impressed with the quest 3 in term of the visuals because I already owned the QPro but in terms of comfort and different headstraps is perfect but I'm still waiting for my replacement of the quest 3 I returned it because of dead pixels 😢
That's very unfortunate to hear. I had to replace my headstrap IMMEDIATELY because it was causing me major headaches. For me, comfort using stock setup gets a 3/10. The graphics only impress me when playing games like ITR or contractors as those are some really good looking games as it is. Some games that don't have this graphical upgrade definitely makes it harder to look at when the resolution has been increased making textures look smeared and rubish lol
@@iSeeEZEkill in my case because I got longer hair now the new strap is more comfortable than the Q2 strap but the pressure on the face because of the fabric and not silicone was harsh and left my face red and marked. They emailed me today that there shipping there replacement bro it took these folks 10 days next time i'll stick to AMAZON for buying things like this I just thought that the only way to get asgards wrath 1 & 2 was buying the console through meta.
But I'm pretty sure most developers are not taking advantage of the technology yet, which is what usually happens when a system first comes out. Only certain games are taking advantage of the newer hardware. But of course nothing compares to PCVR
After a quick Google translation, No. The gpu's cannot be compared between PC and quest 3 regardless if the resolution is increased. My only reason for comparing the 2 is because I run pcvr most of the time while checking out the q3's standalone power.
@@CrishieX as long as you have a USB 3.0 USBC port and the cable has a high enough speed. Im not really sure the recommended speed but the official meta link cable is 5gb. @@tunny9376 the recording doesn't do justice imo. You don't see the lag or foggy distances the way you do inside the headset. But don't worry, we are getting a quest 3 graphical overhaul soon according to CWS.

The game looks like ass on quest 3 standalone compared to the pcvr version. I dunno why u are acting like it's so good... It doesn't even have any quest 3 enhancements so the performance and resolution is the same as it was on quest 2
the quest 3 resolution is definitely not the same as quest 2. i will agree the graphics on standalone are not easy on the eyes but my main purpose of the video was if the q3 headset was an upgrade. which it was imo, regardless if the base game is lacking in the visual department. my personal guess is they will eventually get to it if enough people request it AFTER the full release on all platforms in a month or two. just a speculation though.
@@iSeeEZEkill do you think the full release will be in a month or two for real? It seems like they have way too much work to do for that amount of time.

Nice video!
Am I right that this is basically Quest 2 version of the game just on Quest 3? AFAIK developers haven't created a special version yet.
Man! If you can it would be great to compare Into the Radius Quest 2 and Quest 3 version since there is an actual upgrade =)
Thank you! And yeh pretty much quest 2 version on the quest 3. They don't plan on making a specific version until the games full release or so they say.
But that's a good idea! I'm pretty sure someone has already made q2/q3 comparison videos for ITR but if that's something you're interested in, I can absolutely do that after my q2 vs q3 GoT video.
Honestly the quest 3 should get a graphics update it can clearly handle it
I absolutely agree. I hope it happens but the devs dont seem to care for one which is a real shame. Only time will tell.
Download 126.2 Mb/s, Upload 97.1 Mb/s, Ping 13ms, Jitter 0.8ms
Also, I would like to mention that I am looking to play games where I have to move a lot like Arizona Sunshine 2, Blade & Sorcery and so on.
Thank you for the answer! I really appreciate it. ❤
Do you play pcvr via air link or cable? Or virtual desk
What type of settings do you have?
Also is this all wired or using something like virtual desktop
Guysbwhen it says pcvr does that unclude the oculus rift version for pc or is this steam
PCVR as in just using my pc to play vr. I do not own this game on steam nor do i own a rift to tell you the exact experiences of how that works but what i can say, for the most part, is that it is all pretty much all the same.
They fix the ecreen tearing yet?
Unfortunate cuz the Qpro head strap is a perfect fit for me. Especially since i wear glasses
It stutters like crazy on Quest 3.
It seems to go in and out for me. Some raids feel worse than others but for the most part it's more stable when not inside the bunker.
Is it normal to see the weapons and the coordinates indicator kind of low fps? Or is it the screen tearing u were mentioning what I am refering to?
You mean like it has like a motion blur to it? Thats normal for standalone
oh, okeyyy. Thank you for answering@@iSeeEZEkill .
pc的gpu是quest3能比的吗,pcvr游戏都是按照1060为基准开发的,如果按照1080开发,pcvr游戏的画面远远好于quest
After a quick Google translation, No. The gpu's cannot be compared between PC and quest 3 regardless if the resolution is increased. My only reason for comparing the 2 is because I run pcvr most of the time while checking out the q3's standalone power.
It hasn't been enhance for the quest 3
unfortunately not. may not get one for a long time also.
Were you using link cable or wireless?
I use a cheap onn cable from Walmart 👍
@@iSeeEZEkill I didn’t know you could do that, can I just use any of my usb c to c cables?
@@CrishieX as long as you have a USB 3.0 USBC port and the cable has a high enough speed. Im not really sure the recommended speed but the official meta link cable is 5gb. Some cables don't have enough speed so make sure before you purchase one. My onn cable is 16ft with a speed of 10gb with a built in 3.0 USBC port on my laptop.
Why does my quest 3 look way worse than your one?
@@tunny9376 the recording doesn't do justice imo. You don't see the lag or foggy distances the way you do inside the headset. But don't worry, we are getting a quest 3 graphical overhaul soon according to CWS.
What exactly is screen tearing?
When the screen can't keep up with the pixels, it lags behind and has a hard time projecting the image properly. Imagine like an old tv that hardly has connection but just enough connection the image will go in an out quickly. Idk how else to explain it lol
What are the requirements for quest 3 pcvr
To get a quick and easy idea, I went to their steam page and found this.
Minimum:
"OS: Win 10
Processor: i5 6600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection

@@iSeeEZEkill thx so much
bro the 2nd Part of the Video everything looking smashed down was terrible! What you were saying during both demonstrations was confusing and horrible...
i explained it in the video why. im sorry if you cant comprehend.
On RUclips if you make a Mistake, then don't post the Video until its ready. That pissed me off cuz I wasted my time and got shet out the video and had to watch another one. You only have 1 try to Impress in this Game...@@iSeeEZEkill
You have a very cute voice.
habie147??
did the fps feel better was it still locked at 36 or no
Yeh I'd say the frames felt pretty solid when the screen wasn't ripping a whole in the 4th dimension. Although I couldn't really notice because of how strong the screen tear was, gave me a massive migraine afterwards. I'll do a more in depth look and explain everything in better detail when I do my quest 2 vs quest 3 video. I hope to have found a fix for the screen tearing by then.
responding a bit later lol but i just got it on quest 3 and it feels very smooth and no tearing in my experience and i put the texture res to max on sidequest and it almost looks like pcvr the only issue ive had tho is theres ghosting on my guns and stuff idk if theres a fix
Is quest 3 pay to win on ghost of tabor???
No. It’s play to win! 💪
@@BluelightGaming1 according to scott they are shooting for a full release in February. this doesnt mean they wont have their hands full with bugs and adding content, it just means the game will be available through Meta and other official stores.
Will not get this game until its fixed, and upscaled for quest 3
Fair enough. The early access and all the bugs isn't for everyone. Personally I love being here for it all. Hopefully they decide to do so on full release.
You should lowkey gift me ghosts of tabor on quest😅
You should low key get a job 😂 maybe I'll do a giveaway at some point 🤔
@@iSeeEZEkill cmon dawg I'm broke, help at a brother in need🥺
Meta sucks. Gonna wait a year until they reduce the price. If they really wanted gamers to upgrade from quest 2 to 3 they would have made quest 3 exclusive games and Mixed reality apps and games. They should learn from Apple that the an ecosystem is the most important.
I totally understand your point. It doesnt feel like a complete upgrade just yet. But regardless, I am absolutely having a blast with mine.
It's a good enough upgrade and the exclusive content will come. However price is not likely to drop.
