It's not the summoner I was looking forward too. I know summoner wasn't even popular but I loved everything about it. I just wanted new awesome looking pets. I'm heartbroken.
I just selected auto for the class and, since auto is context sensitive, it seems to switch between the two familiars I'll be using frequently. The damage at levels below 10, with a barely-upgraded harmonize already feels 'equal' or more 'fun' than more DPS based classes. Force as a sub-class isn't horrible, either, offering better mobbing options, if I absolutely need elements. The wyvern is unaffected by environmental none-hazards. The propulsion things, you fly on, won't propel the wyvern upwards, which is sometimes a benefit, for challenges. Sadly, having only recently started the game, being very new, I know nothing. My waker is severely underleveled, so I am compelled to grind a little bit, before continuing the main story. I tried Braver, which I very much enjoyed, but I only really picked it because I am a soulsborne kind of person. Waker has perfect blocks, too, while still being a decent DPS. The defense is worse, but that's okay.
The beauty of waker is that its A) great for mobbing, literally one of the best mobbing classes. B) Bossing is fun, intuitive, and very strong when played properly
Surprisingly, I like the playstyle of Fo/Wa. I can weave into long range and close range consistently, while also having the benefit of elemental bullet spam with every successful parry. So while I don't have the damage of Maron Bomb, I have the damage of elemental bullets consistently which can probably round around Maron Bomb damage. It's a complicated style that I like that doesn't seem to have much of a downside while also giving Fo survivability as it builds into glass cannon. I'm pretty satisfied how it ended up as a subclass.
Waker class was something I was not expecting to feature as the next class release but it looks pretty cool. What is the BGM at the beginning of the video?
The Waker is basically a Tech Tank. It has some ranged utility, much like the Braver, but it's a class intended to be up in the front due to just how many types of defense it has and how it has passive skills designed the survivability. The Down bonuses also tells you that this designed for Bossing as it's primary role with some mobbing utility. I've currently found that it synergies really well with Jetboots Bouncer as you get the benefits of additional counters and vertical mobility which Waker doesn't offer. Likewise Bouncer benefits from the Waker normal being ranged as you don't need to use PP to close the gap to use melee normals. The options for Bo/Wa and Wa/Bo also generally come down to mobbing or bossing as clearly Bo/Wa benefits from the PP returns for trash mobs being defeated while offering stronger AoE Techniques. Wa/Te mixes may be viable too but there's a natural benefit to bossing with Wa/Bo due to double stacking of Down bonuses.
Vertical mobility? Bird/dragon ride PA tap. Also forward directional normal attack after PA (you'll see indication with blink ) to dash closer to mobs provides a good mobility.
@@FollowTheFaceless The vertical motion is so tiny it's basically only good for a triple hop, the Bouncers have two gap closers that go much further. For example, Thrust Drive can get you from the ground to the reactor on a Frostyls back in a single action. It's also much faster.
@@FollowTheFaceless Yes but jumping doesn't allow you to keep attacking DF hands way up in the air away from harm. Plus the future bosses like the transformer in the Kvaris Mining Defense will be quite high and other future bosses are very tall too?. So that extra verticality will be very useful.
I will have to do some calculations but I am pretty sure its Fatale > Attack > Termina. Fatale and Attack are pretty close to one another. I will do a video on this soonish
I have enough materials to make a kaizaar hamonizer. Was thinking of MW it with talis just to cover my other two tech classes but now I'm hesitant since it doesn't have anything decent for down damage.
You can always "not" multiweapon and simply swap over to a different wep for down phases. I do this with Partisan + Sword, especially when Relik's were wild expensive
i played around with waker just runing alnothe killing stuff i actually liked it, there are very few classes iv liked enough to spend time with an waker seams to be my next its fun to play a little but of a learning curve. but over all good
You're better of getting a Harmoniser from base PSO2. They typically have 235 with 23% potency even without augs. Once the demand for Harmonisers get lower than the supply the prices will become more reasonable.
Decent video overall but i'll have to disagree on some things. The first thing I don't really agree with is your mention of boss PA's VS mobbing PA's. Fredran's mobbing PA is still important inside boss fights because of building Fredran gear. Yes you can and do use the back pallet Fredran PA in boss encounters both to gain height as well as dive bomb but the latter isn't used constantly because it messes up your positioning and in general is slow. That's best used if you *can* squeeze it in as your opener for a down phase. But the front pallet Fredran PA can and does need to be spammed to maintain Fredran focus. As far as down damage not being great goes I also disagree. The class is entirely about managing resources. Because of that you should always have at least 2 of the following during a down phase: PB, any stack of Marmellow, and Harmony. If you don't have Harmony up then you should at least have one stack of focus for either Fredran or Wulf already that way you just need to get another stack of the other guy and then Harmony. Marmellow is worth throwing even if you don't have both stacks in a down phase. If you some how end up completely dry from these yes you only have Wulfen Raid spam. However that shouldn't be happening. Ignition's damage seems to not be scaling properly at the moment which does effect the DPS of the class to an extent. If that is bugged and gets fixed that's another thing you can pop during a down phase. Overall with the amount of damage Waker does in a general sense it's slightly weaker down phase damage doesn't seem problematic enough for me to slap boots on the class. Waker is basically constantly popping mini PB's with Harmony and Marmellow throws. Finally linear drive is situational but I still find good usage for it. For me I use it to back away from a boss when I have Marmellow stacks to throw. As even though the throw itself is vulnerable the start up has guard frames. Staying in the bosses face to get more counters is nice if you're still building up stacks. Which just loops back into the idea that Waker is all about good management of your resources. A marmellow throw is going to do more than a counter will. I agree with going Fo in bursts as there's no reason not to but for bossing unless it's DF I would take fighter instead. DF you'd go Bo for the part damage and much longer down damage phases allowing for more than one JI.
After getting used to it, imho its a very very strong and flexible class. The only downside is like mentioned that it doesnt do too well with down phases if you dont have Familiar harmony and marmellow strike ready to go for burst damages. The skill set allows for both unga-bunga or strategic playstyles depending on content with the existence of hot marmellow parry and its skill tree passive. Fun class to play overall and even more busted when it comes to mobbing with FO as sub. 👌👌👌
I'm liking Te/Wa with the only downside being not being able to yeet Marmelo's . Scratches that support summoner itch I have whenever I play an MMO which base PSO2 Su didn't scratch. Gonna run this even if it's probably not good until the gunblade class drops.
