One question I had was that has the US really been acting on ideological motives, though? They do claim so, but isn't the truth different?
Aren't they merely acting to protect their interests and to make sure no other country is powerful enough to pose a threat to them (as even you said yourself)? That doesn't sound ideological to me - that just sounds like a cutthroat superpower doing whatever it takes to maintain their supremacy. I don't think they actually care about bringing democracy to other countries per se, they are only interested in installing puppet regimes, whether they be democratic or otherwise. While it may have been true in the past, currently, I don't think they ideologically believe in bringing democracy to other countries - it is just advantageous to stress on it to hide their ulterior motives.
I think it is starkly different from Pakistanis' ideological impulses. Pakistanis are genuinely deluded enough to desire to bring all Islamic countries under a Caliphate and to unite the "ummah." They are too thick-headed to actually desire to protect their interests. You even alluded to this in the video, but what I mean is that Pakistanis actually are ideological while the US has only been pretending to be so.

You neither talk like leftists who live in thier utopian world and always talk about how the world should be, nor a rightist who always dwells in glory of past.
