Thank you this video is incredibly helpful to me. My machine shop does bare minimum work and unless you're getting something done by a machine you can count on it not getting it done correctly. I just had to strip all of the paint off of my engine and redo it because they neglected to clean beforehand and only put one crappy layer on of paint. Also I had to catch someone not putting freeze plugs in for getting where my parts are misplacing them not polishing the crankshaft when I ask them to and the passages were so full of dirt and metals it was shocking. So I'm having to do all this by myself and this helps me out a lot. I'm actually out here cleaning it right now and I have been for the past 3 hours
This always soumds crazy to me. I have worked in two engine shops, three if you count the one I now own and we cleaned out everything on our products. The odd mistake has been made here and there but as an overall we put in the effort to ensure you get a good product and we get good feedback. So as a shop owner/operator, I am sorry you had to deal with that time consuming stress and annoyance.
hi, can u help? after my engine block exploded on my 2012 Touran i had a new engine installed, however if its under 6+c to -0c degrees or worse -colder it wont heat the engine much, even if i drive far and hard. >The harder i drive the varmer it gets, not much at all however more power more heat. If i turnOFF the heat system climate the car will heat a little bit more. the old enige explosion BOOM did mess up somewhere the oil from that boom is blocking the heat flow with the new engine (the man that replaced my engine told me me this) .. However i dont like to go back to him. The climate and heat is fully normal at summer times, booth warm and cold acts normal inside my car and the temp gets 90c as normal, It`s only when under +6c this starting happening, this is a new engine. if this is understandable how do i clean it? he told me it was stuck. and was a 20 hours job. however my nerd friend that i cant reach now told me it was easy to fix with some hours of let it clean somehow . idKnow how. and summer is near over here. however i want to clean it my self not pay in norway a extra 25k more the job. hes word in norwegian : was that the register flow is full of oil. also this problerm may be another reason , its only sometimes but to often that i smell the fuel in the car. the normal things around that issue has been checked with no faults and there seems to be nothing wrong elsewhere. im guessing its the same old oil from the old engine that exploded that smells...

Use synthetic oil and change in time, simple.
No need to clean anything.
