This video just sold me on buying my next rig at General RV in Michigan! Paul seems like just a genuine nice person who actually wants to make sure you know what you’re doing. Thank you so much for sharing this process. Also, I purchased a B class RV once, and if I could give a tip, it’s after you purchase it book a campsite, local, and plan on staying at that campsite for a few days. And as Paul suggests, use all the hook ups and then go without using any hook ups and get really comfortable and organized before you head out on your first trip. You will really appreciate not rushing.
WOW that's a Beautiful Truck and Trailer, I love the colors. My favorite thing was Tucker getting a field trip with you guys seeing his new home I love the voices he gets when he talks super fun and cute. I can't wait for the next video
Awesome guys thats exciting!!..we live just abt 40 minutes north of that general rv 🙂..we actually bought our dinosaur Thor Windsport from G.E in Wayland almost 4 yrs ago..super cool people!!
After signing all the papers the next most important item is making sure one has the right RV insurance depending on how one will be using the RV. Fulltime insurance is not offered by all insurance companies and it is imperative that the proper insurance is in place. If you are doing Love's and Pilot's etc commercial diesel stations we highly recommend you get the Open Roads EFS thru TSD fuel card, HUGE savings both financial and time when fueling up. We have been fulltime since 2015 and we love boondocking when we travel from place to place, we utilize Harvest Hosts a lot, no more Walmart overnites for us that's for sure.

Can you guys do a video on how you got rid of your old alliance? Did you trade it in or sell it private? Still owe on ours and obviously not getting good enough offers from dealers to buy it. Congrats on the new rig!
Just a side note. We bought the screen saver for pets and love it! We also bought the screen bar to make it easier to open the screen door. We did however found out quickly is one of our dogs quickly learned to open the screen door when the outside door was open. We now move the handle to the closed position if we are in or out of the RV. When inside we go through the screen door slide to close it. Works great!

When we pulled ours away last summer,I was super nervous, even though I’ve driven semi most of my adult life and been around trucks my whole life. Theirs just something in you that wants to protect your baby so to speak. So much fun for you guys! Congrats! How do you like your GMC3500? Congrats! Great RV! Our walk through with Tampa General RV wasn't as nice as yours. Our person wasn't as knowledgeable as yours. Wasn't impressed with the PDI cuz the next day we had a water leak in the kitchen. Safe travels!
Hi William and Jen, congratulations on your new RV purchase. My partner and I are going back and forth as to which RV to purchase. My latest desire is a 5 wheel; however, my partner is concern about the potential damage to the tow vehicle. Please provide some insight. Many thanks.
In my opinion the inverter is installed in a poor location. A better placement would be basement ceiling. You will want to put a sliding tray in at some point & inverter will be in the way when loaded with goodies.
General rv in Orange Park is horrible.. all around from 1st hello to pulling away in your new rv.. walk through r new rv was 30 minutes with employee who was suppose to show us all the ins and outs of our new rv. Couldn’t answer our questions. Took the enjoyment out of picking up our rv. And “their keep you camping warranty is a joke” Plus putting a cover (screen) over your furnace vents from bugs outside will void warranty on that furnace or hot water heater. If you use them on hot water heater. I am. Mobile rv tech for 30 yrs. Seen it time and time again. Love the rv y’all picked out though.. good quality all around. Good chose!!
You would almost think that if you truly had 30 years of Rv Tech experience you would know that what you are referring to Is Not a Hot Water Heater. If the Water is Hot you don't need to Heat it. The proper name for the unit is simply a Water Heater 🤣👌
No way ,when we picked up our 340RL, we didn't get water for free wow vip. We were there for 6 hours. General rv in Elizabethtown, Pa. I Wil never go back.

One thing I don’t understand about RV manufacturers not putting that screen on the holes for the heater vents or the, hot water tanks, instead of making a us purchase, those and charging an outrageous amount of money for it.

In my experience, RVs are like boats. The two happiest days are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. Ours is in the shop for a $2,700 repair.

I also found that when looking at pricing. Do some shopping. The local RV dealer close to me is 10k more to purchase than I have found anywhere else.
One thing I love about this is that this is the same experience anyone will get coming through our doors!

We had the same problem with Tampa General Rv were they said they did a pdi and we had a hole in our roof (2019 heartland)

The red taillights on this 5th wheel are very very small ! Bigger would be much better ,for safety reasons ! Breaking Etc !
