Viggo is the best cause he was such a complex character and we were convinced he was pure evil, but it turns out he was kind deep down inside. I love the change in him at the end and how he gave his life for Hiccup. So instead of being relieved he was gone, Hiccup honored his memory. He even incorporated his zippleback gas sword into his in the 2nd movie in his honor. See you wouldn't know he got that from Viggo if you haven't seen RTTE. Rest his soul.

Love the video and Viggo Grimborn is truly second to none as a villain and the fact that he died without getting a full redemption arc story to be something of a mentor to Hiccup in future adventures instead of just saving Hiccup once and dying when he's just learned to love dragons feels like such a crime to me for he character. Imagine if he got to be one of Hiccup's allies in the movies where he and the skrill would make a surprise entrance to help in the battle in classic Viggo fashion. It makes me wonder how him meeting Valka would have gone as well as the look on Drago's face to see a former dragon hunter siding with a dragon rider. Viggo would have also been a voice of guidance to Hiccup against Grimmel as Viggo would have probably already figured out what goes through Grimmel's head in just one meeting but since he wants to teach Hiccup how to handle it himself, he could give small and vague hints of information of what he's gathered.
I wish Viggo got a proper Viking funeral. I know realistically it wouldn't happen, but It would have been nice to see him get a sendoff as meaningful as Stoick's.
there is a reason he is gone, its because there would be no more httyd movies, because he has a flipping trained skrill that would take out everything, he would have reached to drago because he was a known competitor, and then grimel is barely a competition for his intellect. which I realized would still just as but even more entertaining the actual movie plot, someone please if you are a skilled animator, make this happen. what if viggo never died
