In fact the Kronos is literally a computer inside of a midi controller, it runs on a custom version of Linux and has an Intel processor, RAM and a hard drive (SSD), just like a regular computer would. I only mention this because some people think that software DAWs that run on personal computers are inherently inferior to standalone DAWs like a sampling keyboard/synth (Kronos) or drum machine (MPC), which just isn't true.
