    This is our 27th 2017 WWC training hall video, the full list can be found here: ruclips.net/p/PLtKAdapKmlrP6nfpxruXhE_H44WGDp5E0. We also posted videos of Toshiki individually (ruclips.net/video/uKj4rIdgEe0/видео.html) as well as one with some other male members of the Japanese team (ruclips.net/video/pT8AgT6j8mc/видео.html).
    We still have several 2017 WWC videos to post although the list is growing pretty short. We should be done before the 2018 WWC though!

    What is with team Japan's funky shoes? I've never seen them before.

      Most of them wear custom ordered Asics. Not sure if they buy them out of national pride or if they get a pair for being on the national team, but they are really expensive. Quite a few others wear Romaleos 2 or 3. Not sure why Andoh wears those weird custom shoes, perhaps she has a sponsorship with whoever makes them.

    what? SBD in Weightlifting? :O

    • @hookgrip
      @hookgrip  6 лет назад

      there's a surprising number of people who wear them, especially over the last few years. rehband is declining in WLing market share for neoprene while SBD, Eleiko, others (HG included), etc have been increasing. i think rehband is more focused on the general S&C market plus the CrossFit market (although I did notice they were not a 2018 CFG sponsor) because those markets are orders of magnitude bigger than WLing.

      they wore ROCK Tape knee sleeves - at least each competitor was given a pair (they just said 'crossfit' on them ). I did notice a lot of inside out rehabands - which is not a surprise because I have tried them all and they are still my favorite.

      oh i guess rocktape outbid rehband this year

      lordkubikum women's team

    • @hookgrip
      @hookgrip  6 лет назад +1

      Maybe I don't understand grammar either but there is not a possession aspect to this title. If it was "Japan's Womens Team" then yea Japan would have an apostrophe after it. And it's also not a contraction (ie, "Japan Women Is Team" or "Japan Women Has Team"). So if there's no possession and no contraction, I was always told in school to not use an apostrophe. But I could be wrong, it's been many years since this was taught to me.

      hookgrip yea I don't know either It just sounded strange to read womens for some reason.

      I'd love to know if I'm wrong. I don't know if I'm right or wrong but what I remember from school tells me there's no apostrophe here. Anyone who knows for sure and can explain why, please chime in.

      hookgrip i may be wrong as well, but in this context, there is a possessive. This is the team OF the women. Same case for something like men's soccer. Or men's warehouse lol.

      That's Ayumi Kamiya. She's represented Japan a several times in the 75/76 classes in international comps. Pretty sure she's half Black, half Japanese.
