hey Ox, love your content. would you consider doing a series on the story of fallout2 or fallout tactics like you did on fallout1? happy new year. greetings from germany.
Personally, I don't like the Yes Man ending. It seems like too good to be true of an ending. I also just don't see the courier necessarily having the vision to rule the Mojave on his own. Is he going to negotiate tourism with the NCR like House planned? Is he going to have the power to fight off the NCR and Legion? Then you have the fact that instead of Vegas being controlled by a sleeping 200 year old tycoon it is going to be controlled ostensibly by you through a buggy computer program? Yeah, that will work out great.
I have to agree with Zachary. As a player, it of course makes sense to fight for a New Vegas that is independent from the other factions. Who but the player knows what's best? We are a legendary entity in the Mojave, having dispatched countless dangers, and securing dozens of locations and technologies. But does that mean our vision is truly what's best for New Vegas? I would argue that as the player we are a little biased. With 20/20 hind-sight we know that after a period of anarchy things stabilize, but as an independent state we don't have many allies. Depending on how we handled the NCR at the hoover dam, they may never want to deal with us again or may even be planning a war campaign. The Legion certainly won't be our allies, and depending on how we dealt with them, the various tribes in the Mojave are likely to not be a resource. Trade and collaboration are what helps nations and states grow and prosper, yet the YES-MAN ending feels like isolationism. Being a role-playing game there is some wiggle room for imagination, but I believe the YES-MAN ending is about as bad as any of the other ending choices. And the decisions in this faction ending are only based on the whim of a potentiality psychopathic individual, not experience, not democracy, not education, not statistics, and certainly without the input of the people that live in the Mojave. But that's just my opinion
@@MrVotiga Absolutely correct, not to mention the Courier has no legitimacy to claim New Vegas, it's mostly out of a greedy desire or simple arrogance that one could do a better job than the NCR or House. One could easily imagine many rebelling against their 'overseer of a free Vegas' as they correctly identify them as another despot
YES! Thank you Oxhorn! I was waiting for you to wrap up FONV for months; ever since I got hooked and binge-watched everything you had. The last ending is the one I am most interested, and you are finally getting back to it!
Amazing intro! Getting better and better Ox! I'm doing a second playthrough myself at the moment, siding with Yes Man. I actually planned to side with NCR but kinda angered them so now I'll have to destroy them... I stopped before the battle at Hoover Dam and I'm gonna be doing all the DLC first, dreading the nightmare that the Dead Money Villa's gonna be....
I love all of the loot and weapons you get from Dead Money but........ I can just barely stand playing it, I play as a long range sniper build and that doesn't work at all with this dlc, and I hate that it steals all of my stimpacks
I was waiting for this video, but before I watch the video, I want to comment with my take and see if Oxhorn's take on it reflects mine: I used to believe that Yes Man is the best choice. I mean, the fate of the entire Mojave is decided upon the player, which is a very ideal choice in these games about freedom. But if we look at the real picture here and remove the entire head canon of the player's God like status in the world, what we have here is a potentially brain damaged courier and his complacent robotic friend (that could potentially turn into a rogue terminator given how ambiguous Yes Man's final line in the ending was, when you analyze his passive aggressive responses and realize he does have personal motives, a more assertive yes man is certainly a thing to put into question). A courier who's responsible for starting wars with Mojave's largest factions and responsible for the murder of potentially thousands of people, and who has the power to decide the fate of all the people of the Mojave based on how he/she "feels about them". How on earth could this be the best choice for the future of the Mojave Wasteland?! lol The answer becomes so clear when you take yourself out of the courier's shoes and ask yourself "what if I was a resident of this world and not the courier? Would I consider the courier the best choice?"
Also realistically speaking, the yes man path makes no sense. You and a single securitron defeat two nations and one of the most succesful bussiness men in all of pre war america all by yourself? No way that could happen. If the courier wasn't a godly being, there's no way he/she would be even capable of killing mr House, or just killing an entire faction! Imagine a normal person trying to kill the entire mojave chapter brotherhood which is know to hoard powerful technology. I never side with Yes Man because it just couldn't happen.
That brain damage thing is never really showed or even hinted in any way in the game (ever). It was confirmed by Obsidian that Yes Man words at the end meant that from now on, he would only take orders from you (they just didn't realised that his dialogue doesn't properly suggest it). That "wars with factions" and "murder of thousands" is completely BS unless you're roleplaying as evil/ legion character (in normal game, over 95% of this "victims" attacked first or deserved it)
@@zurcus7224 ever play the game using low intellegence? Lol All jokes aside, Obsedian's decision to make the character completely free is that literally everything we know about the courior is up for interpretation and technically any assumed morals or wise decision making on our end is literally headcanon. Oxhorn touched on headcanon in Fallout 4 as well in his video about the Institute. People say the Sole Survivor can reform the institute, but this is purely headcanon and not an argument to be made for that faction. The same argument applies here.
@@SoulsOfWisdom That means that every ending can be evil because of you. Legion? Kill ceasar and watch as Lanius kills people for fun NCR? Just do what Moore says. You literally work with philosophy "work for us and maybe you won't die" House? Make peace between the Kings and the NCR. House will kill them (which equals complete chaos in Freeside). Help Omertas. House will have to attack their casino, resulting in God only knows how many civilian casualties. Turn White Gloves into cannibals. House doesn't even care.
@@zurcus7224 My point is as long as the courier's motives are completely headcanon, everything must be decided on the motives of Yes Man, even if he's portrayed as subservient to the player. He makes it very clear what the developers intends for this path through how he approves and disapproves of your actions. You can't use your own personal headcanon to try and reason that Yes Man is the best option. This is literally why the quest is a wild card, it's named appropriately.
Considering the state of mind of the the people of the fallout universe I doubt even if yes man's independent ending is the best ending it is still ruleing over the people with other small factions ( brotherhood of steel, great Kans, boomer's,ect) I don't think that the people will take any form of leadership and it will soon turn into a anarchistic state as yes man says that the other "tribes" shouldn't be included in a independent Vegas. So in my opinion independent Vegas is good but it will soon fail due to the mind of the wasteland due to lack of progress in favor of survival in the wasteland.
Well, I imagine the Mojave or at least New Vegas to turn into a Utopia, led by the Courier. If you play your cards right, the courier is a genius. With the bounty of Zion in their back yard. The secrets of the Big Empty. And some Old World Fire in their pocket. He could take over the Mojave chapter of the Followers. And eventually establish a hospital. With the aid of the Khans and the Atomic Wrangler, they could have a steady supply of Chems. With the loyalty of the Khans, the Brotherhood and the Boomers. There would be a standing army. Not to mention the Bots and the Kings on the Strip. The towns like Goodsprings, Primm and Novac would surely be appreciative of any protection offered. He could eventually gain the allegiance of a majority of the local Super Mutants and Nightkin. Who would likely relish in serving a new Master. The loyalty of the Families would easily bring in caps. The Courier could eventually use Mr. House's medical chamber for themselves. Ensuring that the Mojave doesn't collapse on itself in the absence of their leader. After a few generations, they would likely have a stable(if chaotic) society. We have to remember that the Courier can be very respected by all the wasteland societies. And many are open to change if persuaded correctly. If over the course of their life the Courier continued to play diplomat, I believe that they could truly unite the Mojave. TL;DR I may be a gambling man... but I wouldn't bet against Courier 6.
@@Jeffthecreepyastafan That's why Yes Man's ending is my favorite. It's incredibly open ended. You can single-handedly save or destroy the wasteland.... Well, further destroy.
I think hes definetly sarcastic. He already knows pretty much anything especially off Mr. House's data he's just programmed to be helpful. Which by I.A. kinda means he can't stray from that coding
I just finished New Vegas (I know, 10 years late) but I completely discovered Yes Man, in my story line Benny was captured by the Legion and I upgraded him to the Securytron So ... I went back to him, I decided to decapitate Benny myself, and it was crazy, I never forgot when Yes Man told me absolutely all Benny's plan, added to that, out of curiosity,I accidentally got into the elevator that leads to the real Mister House, and honestly I had spoken to him only once, I wanted to leave him alone and leave him alive, but basically he told me"Kill me, please" and I had no choice ... and it was that simple and by chance I took the position of Robert House and Benny's plan,
i cant remember ox,did you do a background video on the courier? after all there is somewhat amount of established lore for them like when you talk to that one guy in novac and they say they have seen that guy in New Reno and the nasty business with the other courier and such
How I dealt with fortification hill was to go there while they weren't hostile to me, then individually planted live dynamite on everyone I could (not possible with people in Caesars tent though) - for some reason this doesn't give you bad standing with the Legion, and with all the dynamite one picks up in the game, gives it a good use. One has to have good sneak of course, or use a stealth boy to get your weapons back from the crate at the entrance. After all the prep work, getting in and out of fortification hill later will be a breeze.

I am so happy you continue to make the fun Fallout videos- which by no fault of your own is not 76 or fallout #4.Thank you again so much for the enjoyment I get by watching these a few times each! :D
I love this intro.
how to listen to the full music? is there a link?
You can go search "Elvis Presley - Yes Man"
I'd never seen Yes Man's Securitron demonstration, even after all these years! I can't believe I'd been missing out on such a fun scene and not even known it!
Like everyone wanted to get caps, so they always give House the chip to earn 1000 or 1250 caps
I love you Ox, but thank goodness you made this instead of another Fallout 76 vid
Thank goodness every single comment under his videos unrelated to fallout 76 aren't about fallout 76 anymore.
Just this one.
Fallout 76 makes me violently ill
I've been curious from the start what Yes Man's intro would be like, and I am not disappointed.
hey Ox, love your content. would you consider doing a series on the story of fallout2 or fallout tactics like you did on fallout1? happy new year.
greetings from germany.
He said he'll do fallout 2 just not for a while
Fallout 2 is the best game in the series. I just hope Oxhorn knows what he's getting into.
He'll be playing that game for weeks before he puts out his first video@@Thagomizer
Dir auch ein frohes neues Jahr.vich hoffe auch dass er einige Teile zu den jeweiligen Fallouts rausbringt.
Have to say out of all the faction story-line intros this one is my favorite! Great video as always Oxhorn!
HAPPY NEW YEAR AND VIVA NEW VEGAS!!
I dont know what it is about your wild card intro or yes man oxhorn but they both put a smile on my face everytime I see them and watch it
Personally, I don't like the Yes Man ending.
Skynet 2.0
Its not gonna be "ruled" by anybody.... That the point .... You're the overseer of a "Free" New Vegas
After I dealt with Benny. I didn't care what happened to Vegas.
Dude shot me, and left me for dead.
First video of 2019. A sign of good things to come
yes man is adorable i love him so much
I'm just rewatching this for the millionth time and I've just remembered how obnoxious yet amazing the intro for Yes Man is xD
I loved this intro so much
Oxhorn's lore videos really showcase just how much better NV is compared to the other 3D Fallout games
*Nice too see you again!*
This might be late but the intro song is called "Viva New Vegas"
YESSSS! finally! I've been looking forward to this for so long.
I love how in the Intro Oxhorn is just dicing people with his machete then Yes Man says “Neat”. That’s why we love him
I was waiting for this video, but before I watch the video, I want to comment with my take and see if Oxhorn's take on it reflects mine:
I used to believe that Yes Man is the best choice. How on earth could this be the best choice for the future of the Mojave Wasteland?! lol
The answer becomes so clear when you take yourself out of the courier's shoes and ask yourself "what if I was a resident of this world and not the courier?
Legion? Kill ceasar and watch as Lanius kills people for fun
NCR? Just do what Moore says. You literally work with philosophy "work for us and maybe you won't die"
House?
Fun fact:if you get the door behind yes man and go to the locked door on the back of the hall
it will teleport you to vault 21 hotel
I lowkey love Benny and felt so sad when I had to execute him 😭 for some reason I ship him with the Courier. That enemies to lovers steam.
yes man is the single best robot in all of history
TL;DR
I may be a gambling man... but I wouldn't bet against Courier 6.
@@radioface4997 true but remember that the courier is a blank slate for us. Currently there is no canonical answer for who won in new Vegas.
@@Jeffthecreepyastafan
That's why Yes Man's ending is my favorite. It's incredibly open ended. You can single-handedly save or destroy the wasteland.... Well, further destroy.
@@radioface4997 that's your opinion and I gave you mine.

Worst ending if you ask me.But great video as always.
We don't ask you
@@TheBigIronOnMyHip Im an NCR fanboy soo...😀 but it's just my opinion on this ending.
@@TheBigIronOnMyHip ooooh yeah that power armor is amazing.
NCR best ending. An Independent Vegas is just chaotic.
@@TheBigIronOnMyHip lol that sounds like an awesome build xD
4/4 theme music choices. Thanks for starting up the Yes Man line! I've been highly anticipating it (while also watching your 76 streams).
Is it me or does yes man sound overly sarcastic?
I think hes definetly sarcastic. He already knows pretty much anything especially off Mr. House's data he's just programmed to be helpful. Which by I.A. kinda means he can't stray from that coding
Voiced by Canadian comedian Dave Foley
He is more passive aggressive. He can only say things happily and he had to be happy about everything.

David motterham maybe its because he likes the game
I just finished New Vegas (I know, 10 years late) but I completely discovered Yes Man, in my story line Benny was captured by the Legion and I upgraded him to the Securytron So ... I went back to him, I decided to decapitate Benny myself, and it was crazy, I never forgot when Yes Man told me absolutely all Benny's plan, added to that, out of curiosity,I accidentally got into the elevator that leads to the real Mister House, and honestly I had spoken to him only once, I wanted to leave him alone and leave him alive, but basically he told me"Kill me, please" and I had no choice ... and it was that simple and by chance I took the position of Robert House and Benny's plan,
2nd?
THANOS FINGERSNAP I dunno
Your intros never cease to make me smile
First?😅
Robin Mattar nope, but ya tried so Aplus
Robin Mattar yes good job
Yes Man has the most entertaining dialog in the whole game with the possible exception of Cass talking about the NCR.
Now this is how to start off the new year the right way
Defo the most upbeat new vegas video on your channel
Amazing way to start out 2019 for us Ox. Thank you good sir.
Viva New Vegas! Great intro Oxhorn! The NCR California dreaming was brilliant too!
i cant remember ox,did you do a background video on the courier? after all there is somewhat amount of established lore for them like when you talk to that one guy in novac and they say they have seen that guy in New Reno and the nasty business with the other courier and such
He is so nice he genuinely says sorry after he makes a long dialog statement about how they're gonna take over new vegas
Feels great to just get home and watch another video from oxhorn
you always make the most epic intros. every damned time I see a new one, it compels me to fire up a new save in NV
fell gracefully to sleep watching Oxhorn, wakes up to Oxhorn
So happy the New Vegas series is back!
Your intro songs are one of my favourite parts of your work!
Killing House with the 9-Iron makes me think of the Bioshock moment with Andrew Ryan.
A couple of weeks later
Oxhorn:why yesman is bad for the mojave.
I don't think oxhorn gets it. The yes man is just there to help us. We're the ones who's going to be ruling over the mojave.
The hardest part about the Yes Man run was having to kill Victor. I liked him :(
YES! Final series of New Vegas! Time for the grand finale!
This was worth the wait. I LOVE that intro song, please say it'll be available like lonesome road.
I wish these intros would be all in a short video, just to be enjoyed by themselves... So good!
Finally!! I thought you'd forgot about this!! Thanks Ox, and Happy New Year!!
Finally I've been waiting SO long for yes man ending
