This song in particular is about Roland's wife who died of alcoholism about 5 years ago.
Oh no! So sad. - G
Absolutely have not lost their touch! It’s great how they can still take a darker subject and turn out a beautiful, relevant song with the incredible vocals we’ve grown accustomed to over the decades. You need to listen to “Woman In Chains”, off of Sowing The Seeds Of Love. Oleta Adams also sings on this masterpiece.
Here's my review of the new album ep 3 ruclips.net/video/55VQNc_rMQ0/видео.html tears for fears, pinegrove, mike campbell, palace, eels
I heard this song on the radio a few days ago and then heard it was Tears for Fears, great song.
Mike, no Roland is not Santa but channelling his inner Dumbledore and the video is like a scene from Harry Potter....yet the whole song has a background of sadness if you know that Roland lost his wife and the 'Tipping Point' is about how far do you go to help someone before you have to let go. A great 'Tears for Fears' song and very recognisable as their music with a catchy hook. Certainly, the album will be one to look out for next year. Thank you for playing it.
Seeds Of Love is my favourite album of all time, it may be too polished for some people, and I get that, but it is their masterpiece. The Tipping point goes back to their synth roots for me, but it's still clearly Tears For Fears. I can't wait for the new album, it has been too long.
'The Tipping Point' is a great new album! My other favorite songs from this album "My Demons", "The end of Night", "Master Plan"... but all the songs in the album are great! I finally saw them in concert recently and they were amazing! The new Duran Duran album 'Future Past' has some really nice songs too.
Intreging intro, typical Tears for Fears, also refreshing new sound with multiple layers, good old eighties are back.
I so loooooooove this song !
Never Listen to Sewing the Seeds of Love?! One of my favorite albums. Woman In Chains is such a powerful and beautiful song! Do a reaction on Woman In Chains please! 😀 Enjoyed listening to you two!
The sorrow of this song is evident, but hauntingly beautiful.Roland Orzabal lost his wife in 2017 and wrote this as she was getting more ill.The tipping point is the time between life and death according to Roland….
Their upcoming new album, 'The Tipping Point', is their first in 17 years and a long time in the making. They said they had an album complete some years before, using outside songwriters that their management insisted they use to try to 'sound contemporary.' When they listened to the final product, they weren't satisfied with it, so they saved five songs, reworked them, and went back to sitting in a room together with two acoustic guitars to create the rest of the songs. They have said in interviews that something is a 'Tears for Fears song' when it's something they both agree on. They finished 'The Tipping Point' late last year. They are touring in 2022. I have heard that they put on a great live show, so I hope to see them. As others have stated, the song 'The Tipping Point' is specifically about Roland's wife's death. There is a great interview with them in 'The Guardian' that goes in-depth about what led to the new album.
They are excellent live. I saw them on a double bill with Hall and Oates.
I snatched up tickets to see them in May as soon as they went on sale. So happy for this new album.
They both agree on and believe in. Something that is personal to them which this one so is.
My review ep 3 ruclips.net/video/55VQNc_rMQ0/видео.html tears for fears, pinegrove, mike campbell, palace, eels
Super album best from an 80s band in yrs i just love my 80s music but this is class from the lads Roland and curt 👍
Still definitely a Tears For Fears sound. Really enjoyed that.
Speaking of musicians that have aged well, you should check out Procul Harum's version of A Whiter Shade Of Pale from 2006 in Denmak. Nearly 50 years along and I think Gary Brooker's sounds even better. It's also with a full orchestra and choir.
I love that TFF came back not for money but for beautiful music that we lack nowadays, it rly brings tears, how convinient

Might I suggest Million Eyes live ( ruclips.net/video/lYBSQ1eAeBQ/видео.html ) by Löic Nottet.
He also has some other great songs such as On Fire (acoustic) and Mr/Mme (in French but has captions). Enjoyed the video!

This is very cool. It just grows and grows on you
Just ordered this album, and that's saying something since I've never been a big fan of 80's new wave.
Excelente reacción. Uno de mis grupos favoritos.
You have to and must check out Everybody Loves A Happy Ending!! Much Love
Such a rad tune!!
Peter gabriel coming out with a new album in 2022
His first new album in 20 years
A very great song that touch my heart and my beating body
Another old band with some great new music out recently is The Psychedelic Furs.
The thing is….no one is reinventing music. Many experts say they don’t know where music is/can go. In these days it sounds great!👍🏻🤷🏼♂️
Sad song about Roland’s wife who passed away suffering from alcoholism and depression
My fav Tears for fears album is called
Everybody loves a happy ending
From 2004
Thier best album ever
Genial el video Saludos Amigos de Chile Ciudad de Punta Arenas
The Hurting is TFF's best album, love this new song.
Top tune ;)
Trust me…They’ve yet to make a bad song. Seeds of Love is as good as anything anyone’s ever done.
I like it
Hope u react to thier 2nd new single
This song sounds pretty good considering how old tears for fears is
genial
Love the reactions to classic artists. I have to add yet another suggestion. A british band you may not be aware of Goldfrapp. Sultry redhead frontwoman who writes and performs some amazing music so shoul appeal to you both. I would recommend this version of Tiptoe ruclips.net/video/rxb1BTLnSQQ/видео.html&ab_channel=LucienBernstein Keep up the great work
Raoul & The Kings of Spain is my favorite TFF album. That’s an unpopular opinion I’m sure. The record was freaking amazing! However The Tipping Point may give it a run for it’s money. 😏
Revisiting your video. Since my last comment I can say that The Tipping Point is my favorite Tears For Fears album. Master Plan is my favorite track off the album. Per your comments on how they look. Roland’s wife died in 2017 and it nearly killed him so he aged dramatically while grieving her. It was almost overnight. Thank God he made it through it and with his healing wrote some damn good music in the process. Their currently on tour now if you live near a city their playing. I saw them last summer with Garbage opening up for them and that show was phenomenal! They are utterly amazing live! They have honed that skill quite well!
Tears for Fears back, Porcupine Tree back, life is good again……..!
Yes to both !!
And there’s the connection between both bands .. Steven Wilson of PT ,the master of stellar production
loves TFF and considers Sowing the seeds of love to be a sonic masterpiece
And he has lovingly remastered their catalog .. it really doesn’t get much better than that😎
2 fantastic return albums and tours!!! The PT tour was fire
I’m going to see TFF in July
Life is good 😎
Can you please react to Tears for fears 2004 single song called
Closest thing to heaven
Please
Can you please react to the new Tears for fears song called No small thing
Please
Outside of Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Sowing the Seeds of Love, I don’t know anything about this group. I liked this though but don’t think it is enough to inspire me to want to hear more from them. I will apologise in advance if I have offended anyone, not my intention. Just not my musical preference. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺
Not offended, but it might be your loss if all you are basing that on is the radio hits. Take a listen to "The Working Hour" or "Pale Shelter".
