Please stop the commercials. Today was the first time that a commercial came on right at the very beginning of 2 Kings 18 and it literally shocked me. A little while later in chapter 19 another commercial came on and it interrupted the Spirit and confounded me. I not only listen but I actually read aloud along with Alexander. Please please cut out the commercial’s. I was so pleased and happy to have the Bible read uninterrupted. Please please no more commercials or music. Thanks.
This content is FREE. It’s expensive to put content on RUclips because we have to continually maintain it. It’s like TV, you get free programming, but there are TV commercials. I think you can stop the commercial after 5 seconds and they only run every 30 minutes or so. Disappointed as well to have an ad interrupt twice in such a short span and at an annoying volume to distract what used to be a nice unwind time. Ah well, my Bible is being thwarted at every turn more and more each day, I am glad that I can keep it in my heart. Soon it maybe the only safe place.

NEW: Alexander Scourby reads the Apocrypha. Some have been critical of its publishing and those who are, can continue to hear the 66 books from Genesis to Revelation read by Alexander Scourby.
Historical Apocrypha facts. The word Apocrypha simply means "Hidden. The Apocrypha is a selection of books which were published in the original 1611 King James Bible at the end of the Old Testament and positioned between the Old and New Testament. It also contained maps and genealogies. The apocrypha was a part of the King James Bible for 274 years until being removed in the year 1885.
It's not certain why the apocrypha was taken out of the king James Bible in 1885. Some conjecture, and it was taken out by the printers, who wanted to save some money on the publishing of the King James Bible.
The truth is the original 1611 King James Version contained the Deuterocanonical books. Just as these books the Protestants call the "Apocrypha" Books were in Martin Luther's Translation and all of the Earlier Protestant English Translations of the Bible which Predated the 1611 KJV. This should not come as a surprise when one considers that right inside the front cover the KJV says That it was:

God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in TRUTH. John 4:24
When he, the Spirit of TRUTH, is come, he will guide you into all TRUTH. John 16:13

I have had a youtube Subscription for quite some time. I have the family plan and it's the best $17 spent. I receive enhanced non commercialized music and there are no ads of any kind. I have enriched and encouraged hundreds with the music that I share from the channel. And yes, It does cost money to maintain a channel because you have to pay RUclips.. So praise God there are commercials that will help support and pay for this ministry. Funding has to come from somewhere.. I am listening to his reading of the entire Bible and That alone is worth the subscription to youtube. I don't spend any money on any other platforms..

It's the only way, alot of the adds are to much but we have options.
I used to be able to listen to the Bibke. Now I have to stop and field stupid commercials. I am unsubscribing. Will.have to find another resource.
We understand your complaint about adverts, RUclips Select the ads for the videos. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings free, however, the reality of life is everything takes money to do anything. What business do you know can offer goods and service for free and survive? You see free programing on TV, but the programing is supported by ads. We pay monthly bills for all kind of things. It takes time and money to work to maintain the channel and create content for the channel, that’s not FREE.
Jesus said this in Luke 10-7 “And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire; and Paul said this in 1 Timothy 5-17-19, 17 Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.18 For the scripture saith, thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.
Users trying to provide free programming, not supported by nonprofits, most end up going bankrupt. So I hope you can appreciate our situation.

Second, there is no business model in the world established on giving away goods and services. FREE programing is on TV, but ads appear every so often to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on RUclips, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything

It's so disruptive when I'm trying to sleep listening to the Bible, Scourby himself is long dead and gone but why is this channel still wanting to make more money off these recordings? David, Thank you for your comments about adverts and we can understand where you’re coming from. Let me say the following: First, we have no control of the ads, RUclips controls ad placement in the videos, normally they are synergistic with the content, and they can be skipped after 5 seconds.
There is no business model in the world based on giving away goods and services. FREE programming is on TV, but ads appear to pay for that programing. If there are no ads, then a subscription fee is involved. We all pay monthly subscriptions, to NETFLIX, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc. for content. It takes time and money creating Channel content as well as maintaining the Channel, it’s not FREE. We wish we could play the Bible Recordings FREE on RUclips, however, the reality of life is that it takes money to do anything

Frankly, we think the four most Important books in the King, James Bible are the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These represent the new testament Covenant, which God sent his son Jesus Christ to establish between God the Father and his people.
