I hoped they would give a 2024 compatible model for free to owners of the 2020 version but assumed there would be an understandable upgrade charge for any major upgrades. Just seen the whole thing is free to previous owners and that is absolutely fantastic from Just Flight. I remember trying to spin the v1 and having an OMG WTF moment before spearing into the deck. I messaged you and you said, don't worry, the modelling is off! I'm typing this in the opening minutes of the video so will shut up now, watch and enjoy! Edit. Just watched - fantastic demo from you and a great job by Just Flight
I loved flying the original version so can't wait for this! I mean, if a former Hawk pilot gets this excited by it.... Love your enthusiasm Chris, it's certainly infectious. Thanks!

This is my favorite aircraft for Jaw dropping VR flights. My favorite route is out of Lossiemouth, along the coast to Inverness at FL100 then a transition to low level to fly down Loch Ness, low enough to say hello to the monster. Then I route to the wet coast, weaving through the glens, before heading up to the north of Scotland following the coast along to Wick. Then a climb to 8000ft over the Moray Firth to catch my breath, sort myself and the aircraft out and land back at Lossie. Grinning all the way.
Don't see why on the EFB load selection screen they give the option for additional fuel tanks. T Mk1s/A's were not piped to take fuel from pylon tanks - certainly not in RAF service. To be more realistic, you should have started from either Chivenor or Brawdy as they were home of the TWUs for student jockeys. Were they still open when you went through the system? I fixed XX172 many times, it was a 4FTS jet at Valley when they were red & white colour scheme.
@@jjsmallpiece9234 I think it was to cater for some export versions. A little poetic licence. The Brawdy livery is in there, in fact it may have been 172! Wasn’t aware of these bases so perhaps before my time.
@@cgaviator Brawdy is out towards Haverfordwest, extreme south west tip of Wales. Think the pongos now live there. Chivenor is at Barnstaple on the north coast of Devon, just a quick hope across the Bristol Channel to Pembrey. Brawdy closed in 1992. Chivenor closed in 1995 for RAF use. Now used by bootnecks. (Thanks Mr Google) If I remember Hawks with pylon tanks are Mk58s, they have a slightly different shaped nose and a RWR in the fin.

I got the Iris PC-21 after watching your video. Currently flying around the World, around the continents. Started in Gib, then Timbuktu, Abidjan. Now heading to Lagos... Not the quickest trainer... maybe this is worth getting. Do you recommend any other jet trainers with a glass cockpit?
Just read trainers! Still, the other jets are just bigger trainers! Oh yeah… completely forgot the T-7A red hawk though it’s early days for the system depth
Great Video. Would LOVE if you can do a 2025 top ten list of fast jets for msfs 2020 and 2024. There's so many to choose from, I don't know where to start.. I wish IFE would give the same attention that Just Flight gave to the Hawk to their M-346. It's sadly in a sorry state.
Always a bit harder with glass screen military jets I believe. MSFS base code isn’t so flexible.
