Poverty in USA is not the same as Africa, in USA they have cars, here they struggle to get food. Being broke as a celebrity is losing cash and still having an expensive car and several houses to sell but for an average person, being broke is having the last 19 Rands in the bank. Conclusion: being broke is relative depending where you are and your social class. The reason we didn't know that DJ Sbu got broke is because its a different kind of broke that he experience, not one experienced by an average person in a township.
